Same here. I am tempted to buy it but does anyone know what advantages, if any, does it have over the controller? Especially since the controller is already wireless.

i got this for $43 from dstore.
its basically a bluetooth remote.. not too bad and great for my parents who dont know how to really use the PS3 features.

I got the e-mail too - great price… but still tossing up whether I really need one or not - actually find the PS3 Controller to be a perfectly adequate remote control heh.
