Anything you record on a channel you subscribe to you can watch regardless of if you still subscribe to that channel.
Sometimes foxtel has to send out a special command to the box to make it change packages (I think this occurs with mid month plan changes) and this can cause problems with previous recordings.
randomdude on 08/02/2011 - 15:30 ¶I Don't have any movie packages and last time they did this Promo I filled up the iq2. After the deal finished, I had no problems watching the recorded movies months later.
Thanks to the heads up OP
richmond12 on 08/02/2011 - 15:02 ¶pub channels these are like foxtel (without the sports except for one hd)… guess i plus this deal for the existing subscribers tho!

Wonder if this is available for Xbox360 subs.. It doesn’t exclude it specifically in the fine print, but then the wording is geared towards proper subscribers. Anyone know?
It says you get the "Movie Network tier" for free.
The movie network tier looks the same for Foxtel and Xbox customers and it has the same name.Foxtel http://www.foxtel.com.au/discover/packages/build-your-own/de...
Xbox http://www.foxtel.com.au/xbox/packages/default.htm
+3 votesmight keep my subscription just a little longer now. Sick of Foxtel now its an absolute joke the amount of repeats and advertisements they show is sickening. Spending over $100 a month throughout the household (we have 2 boxes) and just no value there at all. Get almost all channels except the movies which is very frustrating as well.
still got the stupid old foxtel digital box as well and the resolution is crap. its high time they upgraded us for free both in the included channels and to a HD box..

switching from a composite video cable source to component/hdmi usually makes for a better picture.
Composite can carry full resolution SD without degrading the picture quality and you are only watching foxtel SD channels so using a cable which can carry a higher resolution image than the one you are watching will not improve the image.
urbanski415 on 08/02/2011 - 18:53 ¶This is true, i had the normal box without HDMI and when i changed to a new version box the image is MUCH better. I got the HD IQ but all channels look better. i also have a standard IQ in another room and when it was connected by composite it looked sh*t and when i used a HDMI cable it was noticeably much better. i dont know why but it did. IQ2 is on a 50" and IQ on 32
+1 voteI tried to bluff that with my american express, its a spare card that I very rarely use and I got a renewal with the annual fees and rung them up telling them i wanted to cancel thinking they'd waive the fees or do something, but they were like "yep, no problems we can arrange that for you" didnt try to keep my business, so I ended up canceling a card that I didnt really want to cancel lol

Is your modern sportscar turbocharged?
Ethanol contains about 34% less energy per unit volume than petrol, but has a higher octane rating. So up your boost, increase your compression ratio and get equal power with slightly lower economy, but cheaper petrol. If you are getting a better than 3.4% less for E10 than normal petrol, you are getting a bargain.

@JV: recordings will work after end date of promo,
@sarbs: why would you want to record in HD? takes up a huge portion of your memory..
as for someone saying earlier they should get upgraded for free since their on original STU's, that wont happen its a standard fee even the people who work at foxtel paid for IQHD upgrades.

similar not completely, as for what "dvestate" said,
pretty retarded remark, a unit that is valued well over $500 as an rtp by the company isnt going to be given to any tom dick and harry just cause they complain about an STU, its a standard fee for any customer new or existing.
may aswell go to bmw and complain that my cars old i wouldnt mind myself a 320ci for free if thats how companies make a living.

HD channels not included either, even if your an existing HD subscriber who doesn't normally get movies.
