How's that compare to anker soundbud slim?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Headphones-Lightweight-Conne…

Hesitated on this last time and missed out. Not this time!

  • Bought some from Amazon US. Returned as they broke up whilst holding phone in the 'wrong' hand and suffered lots of crackles from other wireless interference. Maybe they were bad ones but put me off cheapies. Backbeat fit just work and no issues.

    • That sucks, I'm sure there's bad units out there, but seems on reviews majority are good.
I have some Backbeats too, great headphones but their price bracket you'd expect it 100% haha.

      • I ordered one from this deal, was wondering how to resolve issues?

In the right earpiece makes an unusual loud and sharp crackle everytime I touch the earpiece, even a very light soft tap to positiob it. This is non-existant on the left. I believe this is might be a manufacture defect?

        Anyone experienced the same?

  • Compatible with almost all smartphones and other devices with a standard 3.5mm jack, isn't it wireless?

    • Perhaps there is a dongle transmitter?

    • Lol good pickup, I'll let them know as that's very unclear, they'll probably have to update their listings description!

    • They've advised they're going to update the Amazon listing as you are right, it's Bluetooth only and saying 3.5mm is confusing.

  • +3

I bought these when I got my Pixel 2, no 3.5mm jack anymore :( They have been really great, decent music quality for the price, more comfortable than the over ear type IMO. As far as connection, I can walk from my kitchen to bedroom (10m down hallway) before I notice any crackling/dropout. The battery life seems to be pretty good but I don't know if it would quite reach the advertised 8 hours. Would recommend.

  • +6

I've got these. Pretty good sound, no complaints there. They do stick out from your ears a bit though. I prefer my QCY QY19's instead for the slimmer look.

    • I have anker soundbud slim (and Soundbud Lite), a bit bigger than QCY QY19. It occasionally wont start after charge, left it for a while charge it again, works fine.
QCY QY19 always reliable but battery life is shorter, ~4 hours? QCY QY8 is bigger again but lasts much longer.
Anyone can comment on the sound quality about this vs anker slim or QY19?

I just bought a pair yesterday at full price 😭

    • +2

Oh no! Even at full price it's good, but I can feel your OzB bargain miss pain hahahaha

    • +1

Aw man, so did I two days ago!

    • From Amazon? You could ask if they could refund the difference?

      • How do I do that? I missed out on the prime day special so I ended up just paying full price haha

        • contact their online chat?

  • I bought these last time and they have been fantastic.

Their battery life is as described and they consistently last over 7 hours, I haven’t tried running them completely dry to see if they make it to 8.

I mainly use them to listen to audiobooks. They have decent bass and treble but they can sound a little muddy, but I’m used to using m40x’s when listening to music.

  • Thanks OP! Gonna give these a try

  • Ordered. Thanks!

  • Ordered!

  • Got them last time, impressed for the price. Good for working out. I'd recommend you get them if you're in the market

Rocking these at the moment, solid earphones. Great set for the gym and commuting, not going to blow away my shure wired phones, but great for the price.
Decent for music and great for podcasts :)

Lasting so far and really with 12 month warranty on em - its a low risk purchase :)

    Is this PEATS by Dre?

How aboit the taotronics bh07. They are 24% off n comes out to be $25.07

    • Do you mean these?
They show as $32.99 for me?

      • +1

I think he is referring to the units contained within this post - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/391895 -applying the coupon code 8QKISY4Y brings them down to $24.99

      • They're literally the same earbud just rebranded. The TT ones are cheaper so just get that.

        https://imgur.com/a/sBC8SWe

        • If you don't mind pay $3 more for extra accessories then get this soundpeats.

        • @surat: the $3 extra is worth it I think to get the line clamp to clip the cable onto your clothes for exercising.
Anyone knows if the middle button on this one can activate google assistance also like the TT?
My TT battery is dying, charge it to full in the morning after use, by afternoon it's only showing half full even without it turned on.

  • Put in my cart, but my $10 amazon credit isn't showing up. Is that because its only fufilled by Amazon? EDIT checked the t&C, that is the case.

    • Not eligible as $10 credit can only be used for certain items

      • I thought for all items fulfilled by Amazon AU?

  • +1

Heads up if you're going to buy the black ones just get the Taotronics BB-BH07. They're cheaper and are exactly the same set just a rebrand.

    https://imgur.com/a/sBC8SWe

    • How do you know it's rebranded? Do you own both?

  • How are people experience with the mic on this. Good quality mic?

    • +1

Mic is pretty bad but the sound is good, battery good and pairs easily. Definitely worth the price.

    • Mic is way better than I expected. Better than Xiaomi hybrid pro's which said to have knowles mic and all that. I have had every Xiaomi earphone and these are way better than that.

  • Some people are reporting a white noise buzz sound that is noticeable when active noise cancellation is on anybody got more information on this..this would bug the hell out of me especially on the quiet carriage which I frequent a lot.

Otherwise they look good for the price but would want one with more battery power aka last longer.

    • I cant comment as haven't got mine yet but I have a pair of plantronics backbeat and they do the same with a white noise whenever there's an input signal, noticeable in really quiet songs, so may be a Bluetooth ear bud thingo?

      • Damn was hoping it was specific to just this.

My $3 ones from gearbest or some cheap Chinese site does it also but assumed it did it because it was really cheap.

Wonder if high end pricier models still do this because if so then I'll just get some taotronic's or qcy's.

    • Are these ANC? I can't find any mention of it in the listing.

  • +2

Bad for phone calls. Everyone I've called with these say there's a lot of distortion and background noise.

    • Same problem for me. Is this a bluetooth problem or just these headphones?

I only have wired ones to compare the quality to, which have excellent call quality on both ends.

  • +1

Bought blue and red a recently, the blue one arrived in bigger box and is Q30 Plus while red one is in smallrr box Q30. Asumming no difference apart from s biggrr box and carry pouch of the Q30 Plus?

  • Are these good for exercising? Will they fall out?

    • Yes they are good for excercising and they wont fall out.

  • Thanks for posting, been looking out for some cheap wireless headphones! Also I signed up to a free 30 day trial of Amazon Prime to get free shipping

  • Thanks for sharing, just purchased one

  • Will cashback work for shopback/cashrewards?

    • Yep bought a pair last night and it worked for me.

    • cashrewards generally don't work when another discount code is applied.

      • I stand corrected - cash rewards also worked for me.

    • +1

I can confirm it just worked for me :)

  • Can this be used while charging?

    • +1

No, they immediately disconnect if you plug them in and will refuse to connect while charging.

  • Do they have aptx low latency feature? If not, does anyone know a decent pair of earphones with it in similar price range?

  • +1

Purchased, code worked with cashrewards, thanks!

  • Thanks team, purchased a pair of TT bh-07

  • +1

Streuth. 2 sets of headphone/earphone in 3 days and fanging for another set I really want to go on sale!?
Gonnna need a shopaholic therapy discount soon.

  • The code isn't working for me on the black version.

    • Blue is nice too.

  • Looks like it might be expired

    • Discounted black qty has been used up, a mod has marked this in description. Other colours are still available :)

      • +1

could we please get more black please

  • As others say, these vs Anker? I have Anker curve.

  • Anyone know if those earphones are the same as these but of a different brand?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireless-Bluetooth-Earphones-Hea…

These ones seem to be Bluetooth 4.0 instead of 4.1, but asides from that?

  • Anyone elses found that the volume up button doesnt work on iphone 6 with these?

  • +1

Is the discount code single use/account?

  • +2

I can't get this working for any colour. Expired?

    • Same just tried it. Damn I think I'm too late

  • Hey fellow sale seekers,
First time I've actually bought a pair of earphones that aren't the apple ones, and have been impressed by the sound quality. However, I am a fuzzy noise in the background while music is playing and for a short while after I stop the music. Is anyone able to direct me as to what the issue is? Or is this supposed to be normal?? Cheers guys!

    • +2

Hey there, someone else commented the same issue above, I replied that my Plantronics Backbeat 305 ($100) in ear wireless heaphones are the same. It sounds like white noise, kind of like it's there to keep the signal going, or just a bad noise floor but they have it, and seems these are the same too.

  • +1

Received mine today. Pretty happy with the sound quality and base etc. NC is good too.

    • Me too. Great for the price.

  • +1

Also received mine today. Great sound quality for the price. Nice low end extension and roll off. Very surprised. Bought for the wife and will def get a pair for myself the next time they are on sale.

  • +2

mine came today, very satisfied for the price. pleasantly surprised by the low end punch, setup was incredibly easy. will have to test battery life on my days to uni.

  • I also received mine today, and I seriously don't get how these have such good reviews. The sound quality is average and if you have either good hearing or sensitive hearing the "power on" and "power off" voice is going to be a little too loud.

With the number of positive votes I thought I was going to think to myself that this item was good value for its money, but instead I've come away from the purchase buying a bluetooth earphone for exactly what it is worth $28.79.

If you are an audiophile or a professional musician you are going to think these are junk, but if you are an average person you will come away from this purchase saying that these are decent earphones for the price.

    • sounds like these earphones are like my Bluedio N2 which I paid $10 (esp. for the "power on" and "power off" voice is going to be a little too loud." part) a year ago. The best value for money NON BLUETOOTH earphones IMO are still Xiaomi Piston (cheapest edition) for $5. So if I could turn my ordinary earphones into bluetooth and wireless ones with a good value, im all for it.

    • +3

You expected audiophile quality from $28.79 chinese bluetooth headphones? What $28.79 audiophile bluetooth headphones are you comparing these to? Link please so I can get those instead.

      • Of course not. With such high reviews and the OP saying: "#2 best selling pair of headphones on Amazon AU to Bose QuietComfort 35" I was just expecting a wow factor to be there.

i.e something that would make me recommend these bluetooth earphones over other bluetooth earphones in the $30 range.

        • Never equate sell rating with sound quality. I wouldn't rate the QC35 as #1 sounding headphones even if they are #1 selling. Far from it. Not even a wow factor.

What is it about the sound profile that is junk? Have you 'run' them in? Have you tried the different size ear pieces? Do you have them in your ear properly? These seemingly minor points can make a world of difference to how in ear headphone sound.

        • Ok, you indeed are correct. I've just changed a few settings on my computer and I no longer want to throw them out, so that's good news :)

        • @triviums:

          Nice!

  • Still waiting for mine to arrive. Fastway couriers are absolute rubbish. Have had two items shipped via them in the last few weeks. One was a screen protector where the sender and I were both in Sydney, but the package went from SYD > MEL > SYD. Took 7 days in the end. These SoundPeats were picked up on 23 July and still aren't here either. Again, sender and I are both in Sydney. AusPost delivers faster, and that's saying something!
