It should support any SATA HD according to this review.

False advert. This unit is not eSATA compatible. I just received it in the mail today. This is only USB compatible. The eSATA compatible one is a similar looking model, but not this one. Not such a good deal anymore since you can get a regular eSATA + USB 2.0 enclosure for $45 at CentreCom.

Definitely false advert. I too received it in the mail today and wasn’t happy. Checked link which leads to page which shows USB only and should’ve looked carefully before ordering. Thank you danilochan. No more business from me or my friends.

Interestingly, the manufacturer of this product has made a mistake, because the packing box lists an eSATA cable among its included contents.

I failed to notice that Danilochan was a shoppingsquare rep. That makes it worse as the advert is now indeed a lie. I have filed a support ticket and will wait for the response.

I’ve been offered a full refund, or $20 rebate. Still thinking about it at the moment, but fairly happy with the response.

I’ve been offered the same. Though they made an error, I’m glad that they at least tried to compensate for it. I too am thinking about whether to return the item or accept a $20 rebate. I noticed that MSY has a external 3.5” enclosure for only $36 with eSATA.

Is there any other good deals via ShoppingSquare for under $20 at the moment?

After requesting, I’ve been offered a $20 cash refund via paypal as well. Guess I’ll probably take that.
