  • Hi TA
Thanks for posting the deal. Forgive me asking, the image printed like huge, half of an A4 page, with a matchbox-size blurry barcode, not sure it's scanner friendly at the counters. Maybe I am printing it wrong, is there a way to have a hi-resolution image/barcode or URL ref please?

Edit: In my chrome printing, I scaled it down to 60% looks better now, but not crystal.

      Phone is fine

    • Don't need the barcode. Only need to mention about the ad/promo at the checkout

      • +5

I don't even need to do that, just tell them Tightarse sent me then do the Ozbargain sign. 👌

    • Can those gift certificates buy prescriptions?

      • Yes

        • -1

          PBS prescriptions with gift card

        • +2

I use my gift card for prescriptions no probs

        • Yes, but remember this deal doesn't apply to prescriptions.

    • How long is the delay for getting one? And do we have to get the $500 at once, or can buy it in a few times? I haven’t tried yet

      • min is $50… you can buy multiple

    • +2

yes the problem is some of old chemistware house stores won't be able to scan your barcode because their scanner is from the 20th century and they can't manually insert the barcode into the register to make it work

Don't know if they'll take a bare barcode without seeing the marketing stuff but maybe that will help some people.

      no deal then

  • Thanks TA. Now I've to figure out what to buy tomorrow :)

  • +2

These deals quite often exclude baby formula. Does anyone have the full text of the *conditions apply from OP's image?
I need 2 tins of newborn formula.

    • +2

      Ok Daigou guy.

      • -1

If I was flogging it on WeChat I'd be buying 4 tins and have 8 of my uni student friends waiting outside to take turns, so nah.

        • +2

Just tested the code on some baby formula and it works :)

Price jacking alert: Elevit Pregnancy Multivitamin Tablets 100 Pack (100 Days) went from $57.99 to $61.99!

    • +7

These were part of the vitamin sale catalogue that ended midnight.

  • +1

Yep price jacking: my cart of $101 has gone to $120, some frangrace, protein…

    • +6

You must have items in your cart that were part of the catalogue sale that ended midnight. Why would you consider that price jacking?

      • -1

Regardless of how you define it, prices were cheaper before than they are now which additionally requires a code.

Considering this was advertised prior to the end of the catalogue sales this is a bit strange as some people (such as myself) waited assuming that prices would remain the same and we'd be able to get a better deal with the barcode

        • +4

I waited to buy until today as well but today all the items including vitamins and perfumes went up and even after discount the price is higher than yesterday.

        • Yeah it's a bit strange. Might have to shop in store and price beat/match, if possible.

        • lol… negged for telling facts. #shakes head. I'm sorry on behalf of ozbargain. In 2018, popularity all too often trumps inconvenient truths. Very sad.

      • +1

Jeeze does the catalogue cover the whole store? I appreciate your work, however I’ll obviously give this a miss..

As most have stated, prices were cheaper pre 10% off, so perhaps that was the bargain…

  • Is it working yet ?

  • Can someone please share the full text from Condition Apply

  • +5

Price Jacking¡¡¡ The product was 29.99 yesterday but today itv gone up to 33.99. worst even after 10% discount.

    • +7

Please read comments above. Their main catalogue for the year ended midnight. This isn’t price jacking.

      • I see. So will the perfumes ever get as cheap as they were in the catalogue that ended yesterday anytime soon?

        • Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Boxing Day catalogues are usually the cheapest time to buy!

  • +5

And all the prices, of things I was looking at, went up by more than 10%, these weren't catalog specials

  • +2

Oops.. should have bought some perfumes yesterday. With the catalogue change, they are more expensive now even after 10% off.

  • Say no to drugs.

    • +1

      No.

  • +1

No disrespect to TA, but with the price change is this a bargain?

    • It depends what you're buying. Everything on my shopping list is the same price this morning, plus an extra 10% off.

  • Does anyone have a link to new catalogue? Any bargains?

  • How to use shipster on chemistwarehouse website?
In payment options I dont see an option for shipster..Am I doing something wrong?

    • +2

It should automatically apply at checkout after entering your email address, assuming your email is successfully linked to Shipster.

      • +1

now I see the problem…thanks for the info!

  • Price jacking: Telfast used to be $30, now $35. Other product used to be $7.5, now $9.5. Those were not catalogue prices.

  • Thanks TA. Excellent deal!

  • +3

things are more expensive than they were yesterday, even after discount

    • -3

      Price jacking.

    • +1

I've got 6 items in an order that I didn't get around to finishing last night. All of them are the same price today.

  • +4

Perhaps worth a rename to the "We no longer have a catalogue so most prices are back to full price, so here's 10% off for some items sale" … a little wordy I know.
Note that this 10% off also excludes pharmacist only medicines and not just prescriptions.
I guess its more so buyer beware. Empty your cart of any previous catalogue specials before buying (they'll be back in the next one anyway, at a higher discount than 10%).
My cart from last night jumped from $100 to $130 this morning, so the 10% wasn't great.
Undoubtedly vitamins and other high markup items will make an appearance in the next catalogue, so CW can pay Australia Post again when I put through the other half of my order. Just seems a little counterproductive.
Just pick those items that aren't on sale regularly and leave the rest for the next "Rugs a million 50% off vitamins sale".

  • I went the shop and paid $34.99 for 70 tablet of Zyrtec. Later I found it is sold $39.99 on their web site with 10% discount. Is it bargain?

  • Just purchased but certainly CW prices arent what they used to be, Berocca for example was about $15 for 45 tabs, now $20 +33%. Ouch.

    • where will be the cheapest to buy it in that case?

i agree though that prices have increased. i have been buying krill oil and vitamin D from them for at least 5 years and just haven't gotten the old prices before. might be inflation or might be they gotten too successful

  • If you're after cologne it's a bit more expensive now with the 10% off than previously discounted prices (Between $1-$10 more so not too bad) Should be cheaper in the next catalogue.

  • +6

Maybe they didn't price jack everything, but here is an example where it definitely happened (the 200 tablet version): https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/search?searchtext=nature…. The 100 tablet one seems to be almost always on "sale" while the 200 tablet one is never on sale.

I remember buying the 200 tablet on for $24.99 earlier in the year. I checked yesterday and it was $26.99 (and not on sale) - confirmed with Google cached page: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https:…. But today it's gone up to $33.99. Even with 10% off it would still be $30.59.

  • price jacking ?
Have been eyeing on few perfumes yesterday that has increased by 30%.
