Just got this email sent to me advertising a designer Italian chair for $99.
I have seen this chair in heaps of home magazines. Going down to buy 10 for my new table tomorrow.

+1 votechickentaste on 03/04/2011 - 22:41 ¶No, just.. no. Quite apart from the fact it looks like it belongs in the lobby of a bank run by Willy Wonka I suspect that the legs will shatter under me as soon as I even think about trying to lean back on it.
Although at least if were to end up on the floor covered in blood the remains of my chair will probably wipe down fairly easily.

+1 voteOP seriously no. I really don't understand what people see in quality with italian good. Italians are the worst manufacturers in the world for the price they charge. If you want class, I really don't get why you wouldn't look at German goods instead, for most of the time German good would probably be even cheaper, especially when competing against a $100 plastic chair like this.

Would be unlikely to buy it even at the $2 shop.
Has the same cheap plakky look.
$99 on sale…..really?
Maybe it's $5.99 and a typo???Someones been hitting the wakky tobakki.
Bear Rains on 04/04/2011 - 17:56 ¶made in china, in downtown italy.
reminds me of the russell peters joke.
"you know, in that italian part of india - Cal-cut-ta".

King Tightarse on 03/04/2011 - 23:23 ¶or perhaps named after it's real father
Hong Sok.
For the 0.05 seconds attention he gave it when it was "born"

Lol! try posting this on ebay; i'm sure SOMEONE will actually buy it (maybe even for $5000 if u put it up as antique/vintage)
Posting here?, fat chance…u've wasted what? $1 in electricity bills + 2 mins of ur life
——>so net profit= -$1 + wrinkles!
P.S op i strongly suggest ebay, then ur net profit could be like +$4999
+2 votesEveryone might be missing the point that these are commercial grade chairs, ones that a cafe/restaurant owner would expect to last at least couple of years of proper punishment from customers and a hammering from the sun unlike your $10 ones from Bunnings.
that being said $100 is not a bargain if you do quick googe around theres similar chairs to this design for the same price.
frozensolid on 04/04/2011 - 02:43 ¶Found better chairs on the side of the road during the throw-out.
Whole dining sets, even.
-1 voteIf you have a look at http://bit.ly/f73I3q and http://bit.ly/fSly1W you see that the chair is very chic and modern!!!! It's not a cheap plastic and it is commercial grade.
King Tightarse on 04/04/2011 - 21:13 ¶Nah its a shower chair.
You keep telling yourself thats its "chic" though. Perhaps that'll take some of the sting out of the price.
King Tightarse on 04/04/2011 - 21:12 ¶They use chairs like that in the bathroon in Japan.
You sit on it and soap up then scoop water on yourself before jumping in the bath. You can get them at the 100Yen shop but for about 500/600 yen
~ $7Shower chair…
