Seems like a good deal - $899 at DSE.

Just so everyone knows it is energy rated 2*, which means it will cost an additional $50 a year to run than a 5* rated equivalent product. Depending on how long you want to hold the TV this may or may not be a good deal versus a more energy efficient and better built model.

    • Excellant finding, the savings might be worth a while here if this is the case and to use that $50.00 towards a bigger screen maybe or a better energy efficient models

      • but if you are not a heavy TV watcher (work full time), then maybe the difference is small

        • +2

The energy rating is based on an average of 10 hours per day viewing.

For heavy use then it is correct that another TV may be a cost saving over the medium term. If you are using it as a second TV or only occasionally watching TV then the difference is not very much over the course of a year.

Exactly. I'm lucky to run my Plasma for an average of 3 hours a day across an entire week, so the difference may come down to as little as $15 per year. Given how cheap LCD and Plasmas have come down, I reckon I'd be lucky to have my TV for 3 years before upgrading to something newer (3d/4d/5d etc). The supposed energy savings are really not much if you dont max out the usage of your TV, in which case your power bills are way higher and cancel out the savings you're trying to get :D

  • Sweet - good deal and only $15 shipping within Melbourne.

This must have something to do with Sanyo closing their operations in Australia.
    Bargain price.

  • What's the return policy?

  • what is all about response time (5mm 8mm etc) should we look at this number when deciding to buy tv ?
also, LED vs LCD is worth to look?

    • 8ms seems a bit slow? Has anyone seen it work? I would think there would be lag at 8ms?

      • If the rating of 8ms is accurate, you won't be able to notice any lag/blur. However it often isn't, so a proper review/inspection is the only way to tell.

    • EDIT/… cross that led lcd issue, i found on google

  • Out of stock!

    • Not surprising. Didn't think it would last long!

  • So upset I missed this. :(

  • SOLD OUT

Edit: woops people have already seen that.

  • lol ozbargained

  • My father won this tv at a raffle at a pub, just 1 USB port, other ports have to be inserted up, hooking up speakers for sound/standby mode are kind of annoying. Not bad for an extra but I wouldn't want it for my main one

  • Received mine today. Great value! Excellent picture… very happy.
