$10 USD Credit ($20 USD Min Spend) with Free Prime Trial and App Login @ Amazon US

Greetings everyone, massive thanks to Roosterman65 who commented on my last deal!

If you sign up to an Amazon US prime membership trial currently you can get $10 USD ($20 USD min spend) off your first order within the app!

I just used the following instructions and it worked perfectly:

  1. Sign up to an Amazon prime US membership in the link in the OP.
  2. Wait for an email from Amazon congratulating you on joining an amazon prime trial membership.
  3. Download/log-in to the Amazon app and go to the left tab -> settings > locations: United States.
  4. If previously logged in, log out and close the app down, and then open the app back up.
  5. Go to the left tab and press prime, it will come up with a claim $10 app reward.
  6. You will now have a $10 credit in your account :)

Terms:

  • Offer only applies to physical products sold by Amazon.com (look for "sold by Amazon.com" on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if "fulfilled by Amazon.com" or "Prime Eligible".
    Offer does not apply to digital content or Echo devices.

  • Offer good while supplies last.

  • Offer discount will apply only to orders made through the Amazon mobile shopping app.

                    @hindo: Well you can’t get another trial if you’ve already had one. I just signed up on my main account that had the Audible credit (never had a Prime trial on this account before) and didn’t get th credit in the email or the app. Ah well, just have to make do with the $15 credit I already have!

                    • @Nousernamehere: You can actually get multiple Prime trials. I signed up again and I think this is my 4th Prime “trial” over the last 3 years. I sign up for a trial before I go to the USA and load up with things to bring back home

                          @Nousernamehere: Yeah that’s what I thought too. I had Prime trial in August last year and cancelled once trial had finished. Just signed up with this deal, same account and same credit card without any issues. I have had trouble signing up for new Audible trial but not with Prime. Looks like I’ll be doing a lot of shopping over the next month 😀

  • Just used the $15 from Audible offer this morning. Anyone knows wether cancelling my order will revert the $15 in my account so I can get $25 off instead? (this deal + Audible)

    • I read on SD that cancelling actually removes the $15 credit! So I think it's safer to order separately if possible.

      Ok, reporting back in case some are in the same situation. I did a dummy order with the $5/$10 credit offer, cancelled it, and I got the credit back.
      Hence I cancelled my order with the $15 Audible credit and I got it back too 🙂

  • Thanks doweyy, didn't work on my existing account, so created a new account and it worked. My email didn't mention "Get up to $10 in just 2 steps" but when I logged into the App and clicked on Prime there was a pop up to claim the $10 reward.

  • I believe this will only work on new Amazon US accounts. Great double dip if you signed up a new Amazon account with the audible deal.

  • I didn't get anything offered on signup but if you are polite with their customer service chat, they will apply the credit plus give you an extra $5 as a good will gesture.

    • How’d you manage that? Tried online chat and they asked where I saw it, said on here (as literally had no other site to reference from) and they came back saying there was no $10 credit, the ‘30 day trial was generous enough’.

    Yep, probably targetted, no $10 for me.

    EDIT: Ok got it sorted through their US Customer Care. They manually applied the $10 Courtesy Credit. Now need suggestions on what to get which is cheaper / better value for money from Amazon US.

    • If you've successfully redeemed the reward, are you checking out on the app? Try and reset the app again and see if it stacks after that

  • Dumb question but how do you know if you're targeted or not? I don't want to use up my free trial if I'm not targeted. Can you tell before signing up if you will be targeted or not? You only get one shot at this.

    Would rather wait for a better and non-targeted bribe before I take it up.

      After July 1 '18 Amazon US stopped shipping anything to AU. Eventually that was overturned. 3rd party sellers on the Amazon marketplace still don't ship to AU though.

    Errors came up a few times - tried a few hours later and $10 voucher was added to acc + $15 from Audible.

    Tips for searching for things that you can actually buy:

    • Search by Department e.g. Computer & Accessories
    • Filter for Seller: Amazon.com (fulfilled by Amazon etc do not work)
    • Choose something and it should be able to ship to AU
  • Thanks OP. I got the $10 credit and am waiting to see if I get $15 from Audible. It was a bit complicated, though. I had to go into Settings on the app, and change it to Amazon US to show "Prime" in the menu. Once I figured it out, it was all sorted.

  • I got the $15 audible credit the other day. Followed all of the steps above, but haven't received the $10 yet. Did it show up instantly for you guys or did it take a while? I've got the confirmation email, just no credit.

  • got the $10 usd credit but when i order something from the store the shipping/handling costs amount to what i would have saved with the $10 usd so not worth it .. costs less to order from the amazon au store even with no discount

    Worked just now. Also thought I mention the $10 credit shows up in the app but not on desktop site so ordered via the app.
