Does it say whether the bulbs are bayonet or screw ins?

POWERevolution on 04/05/2008 - 00:40 ¶

As you can see on the pic @ the site it’s bayonet but not 100% sure as I can’t find any info on this.

Most houses use bayonets, don’t see why they’d send people screw in ones when that’s not the most common.

Moved into a new apartment block and they are all screw ons…. I have heaps left over when the power companies were giving them away free in six packs. I thought bayonets are more popular but i was proven wrong

Edison (screw ins) are the American standard but they still got used a bit in Australia. Be grateful you don’t have the wiring of my house. Every room is different, the house is about 50/50 bayonet/edison. That said, cool deal I’m signing up for my freebies :)

I didn’t see any “1 per IP” rule so I also got bulbs sent to my girlfriends house and my dads place :)

How do you know?

Giving a negative for slow delivery of your FREE light bulbs seems a bit harsh. Perhaps buy some at the shops instead…

For those wondering when the lights will arrive, check out their Terms and Conditions page:

http://www.greenenergywatch.com.au/terms.php

It indications that “Free promotional products and give ways are shipped four times a year. End of March, June, September, December.” so I guess you’ve got a few months to see if it’s legit or not.

Given that the site makes money from commissions on products on the site:
“This site is designed to educate and promote green energy, to allow customers to make an informed decision. In order to keep this site active, our organization does receive commission from the recommended energy retailers in each state and category. As new offers change these energy retailers may also change. The prices and recommendations may not suit all households.”
… it is very likely a legit promotion.

So go ahead, hug a tree, order your free light globes, wait a few months and save the planet!

A bright light should show the way, if indeed it’s a free give away.

Never arrived.

I just rang this company. They said that they have had over 200,000 responses to this offer when they only have 10,000 lightbulbs. Instead of running this as a give-away, they are going to have a draw in the coming weeks and make it a competition.

Hope that helps everybody! :)
