Went into their website and it forced you to register before you can view its “wholesale” price as they stated.

So I registered and eagerly find out what sort of “wholesale” price there.

look one one product, to another, hmm…, hold on, where is this wholesale price as they promised?

All I could find is, well, quite disapppointing

eg (below is the product that I am genuinely looking to buy in the next few days),

750gb samsung, $128 wholesale, somewhere else $125 (http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=samsung+750...) 250gb lacie, $149 wholesale, somewhere else $135 (http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=LACIE+250GB)

after logging in try here

i still have it coming up as $89

$128 here http://www.tradeclub.com.au/Product-Detail.asp?ProductID=254...

I didn’t check Staticice - I checked Fluidtek and they were more expensive. I guess like all bargains there is someone who will go lower. In this case if you are new to trade club you do save the shipping.

the 750gb for $125 is actually from ccpu computer, across the road from fluidtek…

I looked at staticice and you are correct. So the difference is $3, if you live close to ccpu then thats better deal. if you need shipping and you haven’t bought from Tradeclub then its probably cheaper with the intro free shipping offer.

http://www.tradeclub.com.au/Product-Detail.asp?ProductID=248...

Looking at ccpu they want $98 for the 500GB drive so in that case Tradeclub is cheaper by $9 plus free shipping. Whereas ITestate is $85 which beats both, so in this case ccpu could be considered as disappointing.

I guess the aim is to inform, which this thread has done. Although all this is beaten by the 1TB WD drive at Officeworks - while it was available.

I couldnt agree more. I am sure I will look and compare prices at tradeclub.com.au for my future purchases.

I was more intriqued by their claim of “wholesale price” which turned out just probably their “marketing spin”..

I’d never heard of this place before this post but I was happy to see a 320GB LaCie 2.5” HDD that I’ve been shopping for is $156 inc GST and the cheapeston StaticIce was $230.

After registering to join I notice they have a FREE FIRST SHIPPING offer, however when I added this coupon to my CART, it added an $88 charge to my total order ?!??!?!
