I just want to point out a little unspoken Ozbargain etiquette.
You are welcome to post in another listing, that you have found a "better" deal, but also voting negative on it, is just not very nice.
The aim of this site is to encourage people to post. this is NOT a competition per se.
So when there is a similar posting to yours let the others here judge which is best.

Actually osim, the other deal is quite different really. Smsglobal offers enterprise grade sms services, meaning it not only allows you to send sms-es in the traditional way with a reply number, but it also allows you to broadcast sms-es with a company name. Yakedi has this restriction where you can only show you mobile number, and send sms-es to Australian mobiles only. Nevertheless, both yakedi and the 225 free smsglobal credit are still good bargains. So I don't think the smsglobal deal deserves a negative, as it is a better deal for people that wish to promote their business name or send an sms overseas. If you think otherwise, then people can also give this deal a negative just because you can't sms overseas or specify a sender address as a business name.
However, I think what ozpete meant was that the smsglobal.com.au shouldn't be given a negative because it did in fact encouraged a "better" deal (i.e. a fuel of encouragement that leads to your posting of yakedi's "better" offer).

I actually disagree with the many "EXPIRED" comments with negative votes by osim. But there were plenty of people giving it to him so I didn't bother joining in.
In this case, however, I don't think osim did anything wrong.
If the deals in question are not SMS sites, but say iPod selling sites. And osim found a site that sells iPod for less, it would make sense that he vote negative in the more expensive deal because there IS a better deal.
Similarity can be drawn and if this SMS site is better than the other one, (and therefore the other deal is worse) one shouldn't attract criticism by voting negative on the other deal.
Voting negative with no reason like osim previously did was "not very nice" but if he's able to find a better deal I have no problem with him voting negative.

osim you have also raised this in the offtopic forum

so my response is there, where you and others are welcome to reply
No more discussion in this thread by you or others as its not appropriate to this deal.

How does this offer compare to Pennytel (http://ausdotnet.wordpress.com/2008/04/07/operation-cheapska...)?
Pennytel does worldwide unlimited free SMS once you add $5 credit - and the SMS shows your mobile number too.
POWERevolution on 25/05/2008 - 19:42 ¶…but who find it 1st!?
It was posted by ronnknee from other sms post & no acknowledge at all!
Indeed it's a nice find but I'm not gonna bother claiming ownership in "who found it first" because it's immature. Either way, I believe my comment sparked up your post. Thanks POWERevolution for trying to defend me, I really appreciate it but we have to let it go as there are too many people like him in this world

okidok911, it surely will.. the Pennytel SMS works from within their website, therefore its universal. If you have an internet capable phone you can also use fring (www.fring.com) to make use of their call rates… 38.8c uncapped to Australian mobiles (and you can choose caller ID based on the numbers you verify, ie mobile or landline)

LittleMiss on 07/11/2008 - 13:30 ¶Now Yakedi's texts have a "Yakedi=Free sms" thing at the end of it. won't be using it anymore…
