Osim, lets talk fair. You must be knowing by now all your negatives votes are carefully watched these days. After seeing your SMS post (I voted +), and reading comments from that post, i came to know about the other SMS deal you voted negative.

That other SMS deal was posted on 23rd, and same day around 8:30pm, ronnknee already posted about yakedi.com. So it is not really fair to post negative vote on that basis much later. Infact ronnknee is the one found abt that site before you. Being freeby site, what is the necessary to warn about that?. You could just put a comment like ronnknee, as giving negative to promote your own deal is never considered fair.

On this subject, can you give explanation on why ozpete - one of the mod - is picking you?.

You are one of the top poster on this site and i got benefited many times.

Common, Osim, put yourself in other’s view - and please think again before voting negative when it involves similar deals posted by you. This is the only complaint including ozpete, everyone thinks of you. So no need to get provoke by neosin’s joke.

If you go back through the forums and posts that were in place many months before you joined you will see my many comments about negative voting and how I consider that these can be used inappropriately.

I have pointed out that voting negative on deals expired - when it was clear in the original that the deal was limited in quantity or time is pointless. If it wasn’t then that’s is a moderators role.

My other comment about etiquette still stands. And I was trying to advise you of what is considered fair here. You have stretched the boundaries in your voting which you yourself acknowledged in the forum a few days ago, so much so, that there maybe changes to the way the prizes are determined. That way there are no misunderstandings likewise the etiquette comment was intended to do the same.

I think is what’s going on here. osim is simply spamming the joint to increase post counts and whatever.

I am closing this thread before it gets ridiculous. To osim,

1. As far as I can see, ozpete is only advising you that voting down another deal to promote your own deal is not the most sociable thing to do on OzBargain. He has done it on many occasions to many different individuals to educate them how negative votes should be used (thanks ozpete, btw).

2. Don’t come here complaining that your Asian community is offended. How ozpete figured out that you are an Asian is beyond me. At the same time there are many with Asian background contributing here in OzBargain, I myself included, and I don’t think we are in any way being picked on.

3. The goal for OzBargain is to help each other out finding the best bargains in Australia. Our weekly competition is only there to add some fun. It was there in the beginning to promote OzBargain when we just started out. You said your issue is only with us hindering you from posting deals. Let’s say we (1) put you in a pool of people that will NEVER win a prize (2) but will not comment on how you vote. Now tell me, will you still post deals here?
