    Yes, too slow, use the same chip as my $19 Toshiba, so same speed

          Kingston fakes are all over the net, capacity maybe real and packaging may look legit with holograms and everything. But the fact of the matter is they are not made by Kingston and Quality wise may not be as reliable. do a search on http://www.globalsources.com for kingston and you will see what i mean.

          Yeah Hutchoo does not even appear to have an ABN on its website. Search on ABR and ASIC turns up nothing. Domain registered in Hong Kong. Would not be registered for GST I guess. So what if the product is not genuine?

          Anyway. Please report to the moderators if any counterfeit products are posted on OzBargain, or your 16GB USB can only fit 512MB of data, etc.

          Yeah thanks for the info. I am not trying to be picky (oh okay I am :) but for online shops selling to the public, it would be nice to know that you are actually an Australian Pty Ltd with an ABN and is GST registered, on your website. That would certainly build more confidence to potential shoppers.

      as a general guide("your mileage may vary") that soniq tv with pvr needs a usb drive with 6000kb+ write transfer speed to record HD or do timeshift, which would be class 6

    I got mine. Looked dodgy so I contacted Kingston:

    "Thank you for contacting Kingston Techsupport. From the information you provided, we believe that the item you purchased is a counterfeit and not genuine Kingston product. Note that non-genuine Kingston products are not covered by Kingston warranty. "

    I will be asking for a refund and recommend others do too.
