Price for 9” is not bad, if you are after 7” one msy is selling Asus EeePC Linux 7”+ Open office “White” for $299

It’s released in Australia Monday 23 June.

Many improvements over the 900, not that it matters now, the deal is sold out.

Battery Life Processor Build etc.

1.6GHz Atom vs. 900Mhz Pentium M.

For Eee PC I found the CPU (900Mhz down clocked to 667Mhz) is fast enough for the things I need, i.e. typing up documents, surf the web, etc. However on graphics/Flash intensive sites it can get quite slow. The new one with Atom processor will hopefully be much faster.
