i've been reading reviews, firstly it's not compatible for drag and drop with Macs :(
and apparently you can only scroll through menu items ONE at a time?? imagine scrolling through 8gb of songs! lol
but for $80 del'd…hard to pass up …

Just checked the specs and found "Library( Artist, Album,Genre,Title DB sorting)" under file management which suggests it works like my Sandisk with the ability to find the songs from the file tags for artist/Album?Title - makes 8Gig of music and video completely manageable :))
BTW I just ordered one for my wife.

That's correct.. It is a bit tedious though.. there isn't any acceleration as you scroll, although Samsung are regularly updating the firmware and it could be an upcoming new feature.
Bluetooth audio is awesome with a cheap set of BT headphones.. Although I almost lost mine on the train.. put it on the seat then moved to a different seat.. didn't notice cause the music was still playing fine.. Next stop someone sat where I'd been and picked it up! Lucky it was an honest commuter!

Bought one of these 2-3 months ago with a Samsung $40 cashback for $140 making it $100.
They're a very good player.. I've flashed the firmware of mine to be Universal Mass Storage compatible..

also, just outta interest where did you get your cheap BT headphones from? Dealextreme? I see they have receivers for sale where you can just plug in ur own headphones into the 3.5mm jack…

eBay.. Nokia BH-501 less than $30..
They're not attractive but the sound is OK and the battery life is good.

Weird, it was $74.95 and when I refreshed the page it jumped up to $149.00 plus the promotional pricing dates changed as well:
"Promotional pricing starts 9pm 30/06/08 and ends 4pm 02/07/08 AEST."It used to say "starts 6pm 27/06/08". Maybe we've swamped them with purchases and scared them… ;)

I had one in the cart & it kept listing in the "catalogue" @ $74.95, but @ $149 in the cart. This was b4 6pm, so I thought I had to wait til 6pm to get the "special" price. Now it appears that somehow they all went b4 6pm at $74-95. This is pretty rude, seeing that the item specifically stated that the promotional price STARTED at 6pm today!!!!! I don't think I'll be too bothered about revisiting DealsDirect…Cheers,
