how about the AAA for ~$23? :D

  • +5

I suspect this boat already sailed.

  • +8

DSE had a glitter version of this for $19.99. Surely you can do better than that?

    • Already sold out.

      • They are back on (backordered) until tomorrow

    • +4

      I agree.

      Match this http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52714

and all those that missed out will be happy and your excess stock will be gone by 9:00pm tonight

      • +2

I agree with you. I got the deal in the morning but will consider another pack if they are $20.

  • +5

So these are $8 more than the glitter ones that are sold out on Dick SMith's web site?

I assume they are the same batteries except for the colourful covers??

    • +2

pretty sure DSE will bring that deal back.

  • +2

    Yeah i'll buy for <$22.00

  • Yeah looks like they are the same

    Make us proud junglejumble!

  • +17

Best we could come up with was an extra dollar off which is under our cost. If we could match we would believe us on that one.

    • +7

Dealers selling at a loss, I've heard that one before

    • Why would you even sell them then? :\

      • now they have (up to) 100 new customers checking out their website.

  • Fair enough.
I'll just wait for DSE to restock then.
Pity because I'd prefer the white ones/

  • +1

So you're waiting for them to restock an item that was on clearance? You might be waiting a while…

Didn't see anything about clearance - Its some kind of 5th birthday of Eneloop special?

      • But the glitter ones are limited edition right? so maybe they're not gonna make any more glitter ones for us to buy at bargain prices?

      • +1

The DSE deal earlier today was a 50% off online-only clearance.

The special edition 5th anniversary glitter eneloops have been available for months now. I bought a pack from DSE for $39.95 earlier this year.

  • -2

Is this exactly the same? $24 available anytime

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-AAA-SANYO-eneloop-Pre-charged-R…

    • +1

      they're AAA

    • EDITED.

    • +3

Try comparing apples with apples AA's instead of AAA's and these are not 1500 cycle, also dubious Chinese packaging which if you do a quick search will bring up lots of posts on fake. Ex HK @ $29.99

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-AA-SANYO-eneloop-Pre-charged-Re…

These are Australian vendor stock, identifiable by the clean up Australia donation on the packaging.

      • +1

so any chance of a special on the AAA?

    • No. Likely those will be fakes..

  • +4

Maybe not as good as the DSE offer (which had sold out before I got a chance to order), but still one of the best prices I've seen for these batteries from an Australian store. I just bought them at 26.90 + added 4xAAA for another $14 instead of waiting for a new DSE deal that I'll probably miss too :)

  • +7

If there are any of you who missed the Glitter eneloop sale and have a HP touchpad, suck it up, you've saved enough monies already.

    • +6

I check this site at least 6 times a day and I missed out on both :-(

      • +3

I'll give you a pos for that, you deserved the DS deal.
But would like to let you know I check it every 5-15 minutes. Maximum 30 minutes, I missed the Touchpad post by about a minute since I had to go for a lecture, and would have gladly missed the lecture for it.

        • Whenever I'm browsing the net (usually always when I'm home) I'm on OzB. That one day when the TouchPad deal was posted I was doing an assignment for Uni and missed it. That'll teach me to do some actual work!

        • +4

Woohoo! Second in line and all I had to do was miss 8 days of work!

  • Obviously not as good as the DSE deal, but it's still the 2nd best.

  • +2

Yep same… I remember the day when the TouchPad was posted, once I got home from Uni and turned on my PC I just had a "feeling" that something big had gone off on OzB and I had missed it…

I would have loved a $99 soon-to-be-ported honeycomb tablet with incredible specs for the price

  • +1

I like the glitter version as I can match colour to device and have them charge in pair.

  • +2

This guy was the cheapest, but beaten by a one off deal on ozbargain. His batteries which were pricier than the current clearance stock, sold like firecrackers i believe, (this was pre-DSE glitter eneloop).

I actually bought some AAA and AA from him a two or so weeks ago, best price around, quick shipping and communication. Wish i hadn't bought the AAs (even though they were the cheapest oz stock at that point in time), but oh well, you win some you lose some.

    Gets my +ve

  • What's so great about these rechargable batteries, are they better than my Energizer 2500mah rechargables?

    I liked the glitter ones.

    • +2

Low discharge rate. They can retain energy much longer than any other batteries in the market. If you don't use your Energizers for more than a few weeks, they'll lose their charge.

  • next best deal for those that missed out on dse deal..

  • +2

The Glitter Eneloops are on backorder @ DS

    • Thanks for that! I've put my order in. I wonder how long they'll take to come through. Worth a wait for only $20.

      • Have you only just put your order in? if so, how?

nvm, i just refreshed, and it came up as backordered! Whooo!!!

        • HALF PRICE Deal Only Available Online! Offer ends 14-Sep-11

    • Right after I finished paying for a set from JungleJumble, I read this.

Oh well, this one's for the office. I just ordered the DSE one for myself. I just wish they were white too!

      • yeah white is much nicer!..
tho in pairs their useage can be tracked better.

I've bought several packs on JungleJumble in the past and they have great service.. but for me this time, it comes down to $$

  • After missing out on yesterday's glitter pack I went scavenging on eBay and found:

    • +3

      1 pack of used eneloops?

    • Lucky you, it's back in stock!

  • The DES offer is back on stock

    • +6

      so is the DSE one.

  • Hmm how these turnigy LSD available from HobbyKing really compare in Real Life with Eneloops. (Forgetting the brand name of Sanyo)

  • @JungleJumble - There are a fair few people after a deal on AAA's. What deal can you do on these please?

  • Also keen on AAAs!

  • Me too for AAA's, about to pull trigger on the DSE AA's but if JungleJumble can do something good in AAA direction might be worth holding out.

  • +1

Was about to buy these and saw that DSE deal is active again ( Thanks to TightBottom).
Was able to get one now:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52714

  • Don't mean to put down the post but '1 day sale has' has 8 rechargeable AA batteries for $14.99 + $5.99 delivery, limit of 2. So if you get 2 = 16 AA batteries = for $36.00

    http://www.1-day.com.au/products/GDMGBN92P

    • +3

The 1-day batteries are not LSD batteries (Low Self-Discharge).
This is what makes the eneloops so Awesome! (cause they won't go flat in a couple of weeks/months without being charged)

      • oh ok, thanks had no idea.

        • +1

Yeah, thats what makes the eneloops well-worth the extra premium!! and why everyone is going crazy with the DSE price..

Check this link and scroll down the page for some good info & explination with pretty pictures :) : http://goo.gl/IaUTR (except the eneloops posted by the rep are the newer 1500 times re-chargeable)

    • +2

another off tangent post (sorry) i was about to buy that deal, but saw this via google (i'm not an electrician, so cannot verify accuracy etc):
      http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?319278-Fu…

      • The outcome from the testing of those batteries were that they were underwhelming, how did seeing those results change your opinion of buying the above deal?

        • "above deal" -> are you referring to the op's deal? or the one i replied to?

just to clarify, my comment was directly to wog_ta, who posted the bit about fujicells on 1-day, and the article changed my mind about buying fujicells. it didn't change my mind about the eneloops though :)

yeah i know, off topic, SORRY!!

  • nvm

  • hey junglejumple, wads the best price/deal on the quick charger?
    cheers

  • Can someone tell me, if my existing Eveready NImH battery charger will be fine to charge these eneloops. It autoshuts after 8-10 hours of charging battery (I am not sure about the hours though).

  • Question: How these battery are better than those dirt cheap on ebay ? ( some even have 2800mh, 3000mh ) Thank you

    • The main advantge is:
•Long shelf life (retains 75% of the capacity after 3 years)
Regular rechargable batteries discharge too quickly when not used.

And just because the dirt-cheap batteries on ebay say they are 2800mh doesn't mean they are. Have a look at the link posted by justin_tsoi above.
