I assume they are the same batteries except for the colourful covers??

King Tightarse on 12/09/2011 - 20:04 ¶Fair enough.
I'll just wait for DSE to restock then.
Pity because I'd prefer the white ones/

Didn't see anything about clearance - Its some kind of 5th birthday of Eneloop special?
-2 votesryantan1121 on 12/09/2011 - 20:18 ¶Is this exactly the same? $24 available anytime

+3 votesjunglejumble on 12/09/2011 - 20:25 ¶Try comparing apples with apples AA's instead of AAA's and these are not 1500 cycle, also dubious Chinese packaging which if you do a quick search will bring up lots of posts on fake. Ex HK @ $29.99
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-AA-SANYO-eneloop-Pre-charged-Re...
These are Australian vendor stock, identifiable by the clean up Australia donation on the packaging.
+4 votesMaybe not as good as the DSE offer (which had sold out before I got a chance to order), but still one of the best prices I've seen for these batteries from an Australian store. I just bought them at 26.90 + added 4xAAA for another $14 instead of waiting for a new DSE deal that I'll probably miss too :)
+7 votesspawnpoint on 12/09/2011 - 20:36 ¶If there are any of you who missed the Glitter eneloop sale and have a HP touchpad, suck it up, you've saved enough monies already.
+3 votesspawnpoint on 12/09/2011 - 20:53 ¶I'll give you a pos for that, you deserved the DS deal.
But would like to let you know I check it every 5-15 minutes. Maximum 30 minutes, I missed the Touchpad post by about a minute since I had to go for a lecture, and would have gladly missed the lecture for it.
+2 votesYep same… I remember the day when the TouchPad was posted, once I got home from Uni and turned on my PC I just had a "feeling" that something big had gone off on OzB and I had missed it…
I would have loved a $99 soon-to-be-ported honeycomb tablet with incredible specs for the price
+1 votedonkeykong on 12/09/2011 - 21:48 ¶I like the glitter version as I can match colour to device and have them charge in pair.
+2 votesdiamondtouch1 on 12/09/2011 - 22:18 ¶This guy was the cheapest, but beaten by a one off deal on ozbargain. His batteries which were pricier than the current clearance stock, sold like firecrackers i believe, (this was pre-DSE glitter eneloop).
I actually bought some AAA and AA from him a two or so weeks ago, best price around, quick shipping and communication. Wish i hadn't bought the AAs (even though they were the cheapest oz stock at that point in time), but oh well, you win some you lose some.
Gets my +ve
GreenHornet on 13/09/2011 - 11:25 ¶Have you only just put your order in? if so, how?
nvm, i just refreshed, and it came up as backordered! Whooo!!!
GreenHornet on 13/09/2011 - 11:30 ¶yeah white is much nicer!..
tho in pairs their useage can be tracked better.I've bought several packs on JungleJumble in the past and they have great service.. but for me this time, it comes down to $$

After missing out on yesterday's glitter pack I went scavenging on eBay and found:

Hmm how these turnigy LSD available from HobbyKing really compare in Real Life with Eneloops. (Forgetting the brand name of Sanyo)

GreenHornet on 13/09/2011 - 13:24 ¶@JungleJumble - There are a fair few people after a deal on AAA's. What deal can you do on these please?

+1 voteWas about to buy these and saw that DSE deal is active again ( Thanks to TightBottom).
Was able to get one now:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52714
Don't mean to put down the post but '1 day sale has' has 8 rechargeable AA batteries for $14.99 + $5.99 delivery, limit of 2. So if you get 2 = 16 AA batteries = for $36.00
+3 votesGreenHornet on 13/09/2011 - 15:01 ¶The 1-day batteries are not LSD batteries (Low Self-Discharge).
This is what makes the eneloops so Awesome! (cause they won't go flat in a couple of weeks/months without being charged)
+1 voteGreenHornet on 13/09/2011 - 15:31 ¶Yeah, thats what makes the eneloops well-worth the extra premium!! and why everyone is going crazy with the DSE price..
Check this link and scroll down the page for some good info & explination with pretty pictures :) : http://goo.gl/IaUTR (except the eneloops posted by the rep are the newer 1500 times re-chargeable)
+2 votesjustin_tsoi on 13/09/2011 - 15:53 ¶another off tangent post (sorry) i was about to buy that deal, but saw this via google (i'm not an electrician, so cannot verify accuracy etc):
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?319278-Fu...
justin_tsoi on 14/09/2011 - 12:24 ¶"above deal" -> are you referring to the op's deal? or the one i replied to?
just to clarify, my comment was directly to wog_ta, who posted the bit about fujicells on 1-day, and the article changed my mind about buying fujicells. it didn't change my mind about the eneloops though :)
yeah i know, off topic, SORRY!!
stalker878 on 13/09/2011 - 17:13 ¶hey junglejumple, wads the best price/deal on the quick charger?
cheers
The main advantge is:
•Long shelf life (retains 75% of the capacity after 3 years)
Regular rechargable batteries discharge too quickly when not used. And just because the dirt-cheap batteries on ebay say they are 2800mh doesn't mean they are. Have a look at the link posted by justin_tsoi above.

how about the AAA for ~$23? :D
