abnormalitie on 19/09/2011 - 17:47 ¶Hey guys,
I have one of these, its more for the 3GS, and because I have the 4 if you dont put like hrmm sponge or something in it, it can rattle. Personally it sits in my glovebox, but yeah i have tried it, fully submerged and it survived..lolI spent 30 bucks on eBay, as it was an impulse, but for $15bucks, if you go to the beach a lot and dont like sand in your phone, its not so bad.
touch screen doesnt work underwater, due to pressure or something, but works when wet still.
my two cents

call even in the water
In a scenario where you are required to make phone calls under water, I think the last thing you would be worried about is your phone getting water damaged - because you'll be drowning most likely.
Nice little impulse buy, but I can't imagine much use coming out of this unless you work with water.

I've used this while going swimming for a couple of weekends. I had Vodafone insurance on the IPhone 4. So I had no reason to hold back. The one piece silicon front has a lip on the edges when it meets the clear plastic shell when closed, to make sure the water doesn't come in. Youtube has a couple of video clips of it. I've made video clips of my son swimming and pictures too. I can't really make out the music when under water but the mic captures the sounds clearly. When taking the Iphone 4 out of the case, it is kept dry and away from the water. Not like the plastic sandwhich bag like waterprof case where you need to make sure the opening is dry before sliding the phone out. Only downside is the touchscreen doesn't work well when under water. Its designed for the 3GS, you'll need the sponges supplied for the iphone 4 to make sure it doesn't rattle.

Can I get a quick raise of hands — who's willing to dunk their $600 smartphone (protected by a $14 chinese-made case) in a swimming pool?
