Awesome Bargains for Laptops

Hey guys,

I’m kinda new to the whole hunting for bargain game, but I was looking around and found a pretty cool sale going on right now. If you check www.catchoftheday.com.au, you can see they are having a massive laptop sale.

Its pretty cool, definitely worth checking out, you can get a lenovo r61 core duo for 689, and toshiba A300 for 849 and a hp DD for 79/ 320gb verbatim. Thats some pretty cheap stuff. I am thinking of getting the Lenovo, might save me a few hundred bucks.

You should definitely post that in the bargains section! The $199 for 22” LCD seems to be a pretty good deal! CotD has always been offering pretty good price, although the customer service is a bit of hit and miss…

is that the cheapest around,i need a lap top,home printer,cordless phone..probarly a new husband when he gets the visa bill!!!they dont have to be to flashy,im not good at all with all the new tech stuff,basic,reliable.will do magic for me,any ideas guys??

If you can get cheap and reliable at the same time is questionable. There were some Acer laptop deals around where the final price after some cashback was around $500. Acers are not exactly know for their longevity though and a friend of mine threw hers away after 2 years.

A good place to keep an eye on is the Dell Outlet Store http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=au&cs=&l=en&s... or something like an entry level Inspirion http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/noteb... might suit your needs too. If you are only getting 1GB of RAM then try to get it with Windows XP rather than Vista.

Our acer died after 1year and 2 months… avoid them I reckon. Kept over heating and turning off. We need to buy another laptop too. The deal on catch of the day is over… any other ideas?
