I came to know about the BIGW upcoming staff sale on 26thNov-27Nov.,2011.

Its time to grab some descent bargains. Its confirmed and will upload the Poster as well. Please note am not working or part of Woolworths, came to know from a friend who works there and I will be taking him along with me to help grabbing me above mentioned bargain.

Not everyone will be able to grab this deal but still relevent to some.

As I know, it excludes WISH Gift cards only. Will give complete details in few hours time.

    I don't think this kind of thing belongs on ozbargain. All readers of this website should have the opportunity to partake in a deal.

        I'm with you. With the number of people hired by the greater WW group, many people will know someone in there, and if not, make friends :)

      Agree, this is limited to people who work there. Staff discounts don't belong here. Maybe move to the forums so people who are entitled can still discuss it, but it's not a legit deal or bargain.

    Yes, not for OzBargain - it is up to Woolworths to advertise this to their own employees.

      for what it's worth i can say for sure it's legit - i work for a woolies co. store and saw the poster for this (dates are correct, too) but i didn't think it was worthy of posting

      it had few exclusions and i remember checking specifically if it excluded ipads and it did not (that is generally what most people are interested in hearing despite there being cheaper - albeit uglier - paper weights readily available in many other stores)

      It's not going to be on any Big W website as it's not available to the public.

    Was waiting for the negs to come. The way I see it…

    There are plenty of offers posted for single stores in a city that many cannot get to, but this is multiple and nationwide.
    By posting this, it's letting people know so they can possibly ask a friend or family member to grab something for them. It's not just Big W staff, but all Woolworths discount card holders nationally, so that does cover a lot of people.
    So that's possibly going to help more people than than some free side dish deal at a CBD curry shop.

    Well, that's my take on it. Happy bargain hunting.

    Staff discount is real, but not suitable for ozbargain as it is only limited to woolworths staff (big w, BWS, DSE etc.)

    With almost 200,000 australians eligible, the ability to ask family and friends you would have to be daft to think it isn't a deal that should be posted.

    After all, minimum quantity is 10 on Ozbargain. This is well into the thousands mark and also available online.

    Well. I decided to move it to the General Discussion forums. Yes Woolworths is a big organisation but still the majority of people in Australia do not have access to this deal. It's also difficult to draw a line — how many employee should a company have before its staff-only deal can be featured on OzBargain?

    It's also different from some previous "family-and-friends" sales (from Myer for example), that are actually open to all.
