Notebook batteries?

Hi everybody :)

Does anyone know where is a good place to buy a notebook battery?

I’m interested in an ASUS A42-V6. I tried static ice, but I’ve e-mailed the first group listed and they are yet to get back to me. The next couple said “discontinued item”. There I-store … but I’m inteested in seeing a few competitors.

Any recommendations? I’m in Victoria if that changes anything :)

I also did a quick Google search finding:
e-store (anyone used them before?)

If it was to replace your dying battery, perhaps you may want to consider re-conditioning your battery?

If it’s for spare, well, eBay?

Hi elcheapo,

it’s to replace my very dead battery. I’ve tried fully charging and discharging over and over again. The battery will allow me up to 1 minute of operating time before the computer gives up, these days. Also, sometimes a bubbling noise comes from the battery when it’s in use …

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven’t tried e-bay for notebook batteries in a long time :)

Tried e-bay :) Was the only bidder on a battery from a water damaged notebook. Unfortunately the seller pulled the auction near the end. … I see a few new batteries on sale, but the sellers are in China and Hong Kong … not sure about it … :)
