  • Is that 360 a good price? I'm interested

    • Yeah, but you should get a hdd for it (add $50$

      • any suggestions on where to get a good HDD for it?

        • ebay.com.au

edit: seems they've gone up the guy selling the 250gb use to be selling them for like $42 a month back now they're $69…..

        • +1

The price of W.D Scorpio HDD's has gone up due to floods around the factory/plant area, so you are better off buying the proprietary ones in-store.

    • damn good price!

those prices looks like everynight prices not one night only

I went there last year. Got to admire their marketing, it's spectacular. If you didn't check the prices, you'd be convinced you are getting a bargain. Still more expensive than other shops if you bother to shop around.

yah.. at the time i was look for Samsung 46 LCD series 6, they jacked up the price then reduce 10%. I asked they guys about that jibby stuff.. they couldnt say anything. So lesson is know your prices.

I had the same experience with these supposed "friend and family" sales. Approx. 5 months ago when I was working for another retailer and had access to floor pricing on a particular TV I was personally after, I decided to have a peek in and see what the prices were like. The price the salesman quoted me was shocking. I almost feel bad for idiots who aren't aware of these stunts being pulled. All I can say is that if they treat "friends and family" like that, how's it being a staff member?

Very close to negging this "deal"!

        • People really need to start documenting this shit before sales. Sales happen roughly the same time every year. Should make a website that lists pre XMAS pricing on anything a member wants then they can come back and check it against the pricing at the Xmas sales, others can then see how much they are being ripped off buy. I am sure a large number of items would be wanted by all.

yes, thats a crazy price for xBox 360. Deserves a seperate thread for it.

      • I think we'll see quite a few around $150 this Christmas - looks like Microsoft have made an official price drop.

  • No mouses and keyboards? =\

Guys, it'd be a good idea to print out the price of whatever you're after, before tomorrow.

I've been to some of their 1 day sales and they usually jack up the prices beforehand so you end up getting less of a discount than you think.

  • are those xbox 360 the regular or slim ones?

    • There is 4gb xbox or 250/320gb consoles, shops cleared their early model xbox's ages ago

    • Din't think they sell the regular ones anymore.

  • I doubt anywhere sells the regular one anymore.

    • I know HN still got them with price marked even higher than the slim ones.

will you go prepared with capsicum spray?

      • may be stun gun

      • +3
      • I'll wear my sharpest suit

  • Anybody know if this sale includes home theatre amps?

    • -8

      I don't

    "famous low ticket prices"

    Cough. Infamous. And rarely low.

  • Its Tonight in Springvale Homemaker Center. confirmed. they will honour those discounts anytime today too.

  • damn, thats a good xbox price! i picked up the 188 at HN deal and thought that was a good deal!

  • 31 pluses but comments have a buyer beware theme to it. I'm so confused!

    • It's good, just make sure you check the prices now, cos they're likely to push up the prices before.

      • Some GPS prices have already gone up.

    • Good for smaller items like CD's/DVD's, especially combo deals, but buyer beware on the larger ticket items that could have had price jump in anticipation.

    • Heaps of games at awesome prices!

Where is this mentioned, and any ideas of prices?

  • 10% for Apple, is it including apple accessories?

    • no, just Apple Computers.

  • there are still deals to be had. Last year at this sale i got a HP Mini for at least $50 than the best price i could find elsewhere. you have to bargain still. if you're going in and using ticket prices then you're wasting your time.

  • The only real deal (besides the Xbox of course) is on the Apple computers as they usually hover around the same price point across all retailers. I went with my mate to JB Hifi over the weekend when they also had 10% off Apple computers and he got a fantastic deal with additional RAM and software. We know it was a deal because we visited the Apple store first, then DSE and a few other places then JB Hifi to compare prices.

  • does xbox be sued as a media player for playing mkv files?

  • Peeps, this deal is copied at Harvey Norman, just bought for 165$ delivered.

  • I remember one time JB-HIFI had a sale it was 15% off TVs. Or was that boxing-day? Hmm And I have to mention some of their prices with the slash going through them online is much lower than what they have written on the TVs in-store too, even if it is an 'INSANE' price—so keep a paper print out of the TV you want to buy I guess.

  • "get great savings off JB’s famous low ticket prices" so this means 10/15/25/30% off the ticket price not your pricematch quote?! ring up and ask them which one, if ticket price you can probably do better elsewhere except maybe for apple/xbox
