    great price

  • AUS stock?

    • HK most probably

    • Doubt it

DWI is setup in HK so everything comes from HK

      • i'm pretty sure they are not from hk, coz in hk they are selling $5000hkd = AUD 630

why would they sell it to aus at a cheaper price plus free shipping???

        doesnt make much sense..

But it says 12 months warranty, which seems to be the case for grey imports rather than the 24 months for Australian stock.

I'm looking to grab one before Christmas as are at least two friends, hopefully some more deals arrive!

Ooh that is good. I'd totally buy this and use the Boost $40 unlimited prepaid deal, if I hadn't signed up for this same phone with Virgin last week. Just a thought for anyone considering it… would end up being about $1500 over two years. Cheaper than any unlimited plan you can get on postpaid (apart from Voda, but they have phone repayments for this phone), and almost equates to a $59 a month plan, but with much more credit… :)

One of the best deals for a S2 so far.

    • and it will just get better, Galaxy Nexus is out, so this is now officially one generation behind.

      • +2

Pity how it is still better than the Nexus on specs! And once it gets ICS, it will blow it away. Great price I reckon.

        • In terms of specs it's not really better but the Nexus doesn't blow it out of the water either. The only difference is the ICS, which sooner or later S2 and its successors will have. So buy the S2 or hold back a bit. IMHO, curved phones like the Nexus look uglier.

        • agree with blackrider.

plus the S2 has technically a better screen because it's AMOLED plus and not pentile

  • Wow, a quick look tells me this is cheap… but how good is there warranty? anyone know?

  • for a sim consider www.liveconnected.com.au plans over $11.99 come with tethering and a microsim is avaiable.

  • My three contract is over, considering Galaxy S2 on telstra freedom connect:

BYO phone: $49 / month over 24 months
    with Galaxy S2: 59 / month of 24 months

That means if you're going with Telstra anyway (3/vodaphone don't have the data coverage to actually use a smartphone when you need to, in my experience) the S2 is only $240 more.

So OzBargainers considering new telstra contracts shouldn't buy outright, correct? These deals are more for people who live in a Capital City CBD or something and so don't care about coverage?

If you had to pick between the Galaxy S II - $499, Galaxy Note - $599, LG Optimus 3D - $369. Which would you pick & why?

    • -1

      yes

      • I love lamp?

    • Galaxy Note. Because it's a newly released phone and will make me stand out from the crowd/look cool lol.

P/S: Just kidding. But even 7 inch tablets make me feel uncomfortable to carry/grab into bed, whereas a 5.3' (very light as well) phone/tablet will definitely work.

      • what do you do in bed with 5.3" tablet?

        • Movies and Kindle e-books.

        • +3

I prefer to grab a 9". (mine of course)
