DWI Deal of The Day - Motorola XOOM 10" 32GB MZ601 WiFi+3G (UNLOCKED) for $399 Inc Free Delivery

190

Pretty decent price for the 3G version of this tablet, especially when it comes with DWI's fairly impressive free shipping…with any luck, you may get it just before Christmas.

  • That's so good indeed.

  • At first I thought PFFTTTT then I saw it was the 3G version! A very good deal indeed!

  • Anyone successfully bought this? After i added it to cart, the price changed to $573.

    • +1

Get rid of the "extended warranty" options, and press "change all options to 'no'"

      • Thanks. It works now.

  • Any knows if this a reputable store assuming the goods are direct-imported from HK. Thinking of ordering the Nikon D7000.

    • You'll be having trouble claiming warranty if anything goes wrong. Please see: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1769281

    • Bought a phone from them and arrived quickly - with tracking via DHL.

Note: Although they have an Australian website and invoice you in AUD, they are a HK company and don't charge GST. If you can claim the GST back, a genuine Australian seller who charges GST may be cheaper.

  • "with any luck, you may get it just before Christmas"
Wishful thinking. I wouldn't count on it.

    • Well, in the good ol' days when you used to have to pay for shipping, DWI's Fed Ex service managed to deliver a lens I've ordered to my front door within 48 hours. Of course, that was with Fed Ex, not sure who their carrier is with their free delivery, but yeah, probably wishful thinking to get it before Christmas..

    • Fed Ex made my delivery. Took three days, ordered last week. Had a xoom the week before which dhl delivered, three days also.

    • I ordered an iPad not too long ago. It took around 2 days for delivery once they processed my order.

  • 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    3G Network HSDPA 2100

What networks providers would that work with?

    • Also interested in what networks this will work with.
Does the above mean it wont work with telstra 3g?

      • Correct no NextG, you need HSDPA 850 for that..
As the Motorola Xoom does not accept external USB devices like flash memory or external drives without rooting the device I'm not sure why you would want one.

      • While 850 provides a bit of extra coverage (perhaps 1 percent), it hasn't really (m)any developed plans for tablet users.

        Consider for prepaid :
One has $15perGB (365day/10GB plan), the other supports 30-50GB usage (dollar days).

-which choice will a tablet user have more fun?
        -why look beyond prepaid?

  • the xoom is actually pentaband 3G, all GSM models support nextG and optus Open Network (i have one myself).

    that DWI specification is incorrect.

  • i had an acer 3G one which was pretty good until it got stolen, wonder if this one is better or around the same level?

    • Same level I suppose. Better brand name apparently.

  • Motorola XOOM 10" 32GB in Costco Lidcombe,NSW just A$359.99.

    • Is it the 3G version?

  • Great Deal. Just ordered two for the household.

  • Price changed to $429.
