  I was thinking they wouldn't go down further before Christmas but Dick Smith did.
  
  I purchased mine from Karrinyup 6018 WA Registered online place one aside in mind that will get warranty online direct with Sony use voucher worked pickup yesterday 24th December and was told I bought the second last one at $249 YAY. Great voucher code. Thank you!

K-mart TTP (SA) are pretty happy to price-match these days. It might be a stretch, but if you can find anyone with a Coles discount card (there are plenty goin' around), it'll end up costing $246.

    That's not entirely true — it does vary from store to store (and like many other stores - who serves you).
    I price-matched a few 8GB iPod touch's ($164 @ Harvey Norman), and then applied my discount card to get it for ~$147.
