Hmm … has anyone installed Office or other CD/DVD based install programs, on these notebooks? :)

I think you can either get an external CD/DVD reader or share the optical drive on your “other computer” and then install them over the network, after Windows XP is up and running. Dump the CD/DVD images to external HDD/USB key and then mount them on Eee PC. Yeah, there are many ways to do it.
