SUBWAY Buy One Footlong Sub and 600ml Drink, Get Another Free (Must like on Facebook)

1340

On their facebook page, SUBWAY is offering a coupon whereby you can buy a Footlong Sub and 600ml drink, then get another footlong and 600ml drink of equal or lesser value for free. If you actually need more than one sub, this is going to work out cheaper than last weeks $7 sub deal. And the bonus is, you end up with 2 coke unleashed codes to redeem. :)

Conditions state that it is at participating stores only, and there were a few who posted on the $7 deal that their local store would not accept, so might be wise to check beforehand to avoid some frustration at the checkout.

(Sub prices vary, and I have no idea what they charge for a 600ml drink, so a price in the title a bit hard to do sorry)

To get to the voucher from their wall, click on the Subway Summer Deals tab on the left.

EDIT:

You can skip the whole facebook thing and go straight to the coupon on the subway page:

    • Nice work Ozpete, lunch for this week sorted!

    • Awesome, Ozpete - I've popped this in the original post.

      • +7

Thats fine, I dont need the credit - Better to remain low key - it might add something extra to my order… LOL

It's my pet hate, bribing people to like. And I think it just devalues facebook likes. Maybe they should ban these type of likes, just like we do the same with asking for votes…

    • Sweet… work = no facebook, but lunch = subways !!!

    • thanks pete, i hate liking :).

      • +1

        really? i like it… :P

    • It's the result of the liking that enables them to do these promotions.

  • +1

    Which are the participating outlets

    • +1

Yep! I asked that on their facebook page last week and got no response. You could always call the store and ask before you went there if you wanted to be sure.

      • +11

Place your order for the 2 meals then if they refuse the voucher, then tell them you dont want the sandwich and walk

        • +1

I'm not sure how you can lose here.

Either the stingy franchise throws the two sandwiches in the bin and loses actual money, or the franchise can accept it and have less or no profit made. :)

        • Which goes to the point, that stores that DONT accept vouchers should have a sign at the point of ordering, that they dont accept them.

Now if only I wasn't into Atkins and anti-carbs I might enjoy this deal….

    • +1

I was trying to find out that also, seems a bit strange that they have posted this deal with "participating stores only" but not mentioning which stores are participating…

  • How much is their usual price for ?
    - a Footlong Chicken Sub and 600ml Drink
    - a Footlong Veggie Sub and 600ml Drink

    • i think the footlongs are about $8-9

      • I see, both chicken and veggie? and $8-9 includes 600ml Drink?

        • Don't know the exact prices, but you're probably looking at UP TO $12 or $13 all up.

        • veggie sub footlong is $7

        • Chicken - $9.95
          Veggie - $7
600ml Drink - $3.50 (around there, maybe more)

    • +1

at my local subway (Buranda Brisbane) veggie footlong is $7, chicken is $8.95 (i am pretty sure) 600ml drink is about $3

but at a shop (stones corner) which is equally as close veggie footlong is $10.95 or $9.95 and chicken is about $12.95

    • Footlong chicken teriyaki $9.95

  • 600ml Drink is $3.50 at my local stores

As for the participating stores, I just ask if they will take the voucher before ordering easier and I havent had any store say no.

    • +2

One store my friend worked at would not accept vouchers at all but it is run by some crazy Russian bloke. other than that have never had any trouble redeeming any vouchers in any store in Brisbane

    • Hmm.. sounds about right so $9.50 for 2 basic subs and a drink. I can also scab a free cookie (or 2 or 3 depending on whos serving) or drink with a free card thingy I got at my local.

Bloody hell had subway all last week with that other coupon, lol.

  • The subway in Chadstone (VIC) foodcourt prolly won't accept this since they didn't accept my $7 for all subs voucher.

    • +5

I've never seen this deal advertised in store. and i am a regular.

      Meal for me + Misses + drink < $10 = WIN!

Sounds like Valentine's day is covered.

        • +2

          Expires on the 12/02 :p

    • +1

I + this deal just to spite you :)

  • +2

Tried the deal at Metcentre Sydney and it's accepted, paid $9.95 for the footlong and $3.20 for the drink ($6.60 for those who share :))

  • +4

here is the answer taken from the fb page "As all stores are run by individual franchisees, it is up to the individual franchisee to honour the offer. We know the vast majority will, however we can't provide a definitive list."

  • Good find

  • the one on pacific hwy in chatswood (NSW) wont accept any voucher deal inc this one..

  • +2

    Coupon expires before Valentines Day.

    Oh well…Back to Maccas then.

  • Rhodes accepting coupons, tempted to go for a second one.

  • Works at Forest Lake, QLD.

    Lunch and dinner sorted.

  • My local subway would accept the voucher but was "angry" that it hardly had any conditions such as limits.

    • My local subway would accept the voucher but was "angry" that it hardly had any conditions such as limits.

Technically, I guess seeing as it is at 'participating stores only' they could put their own limits on it and everyone would be happy.

Not accepted at Milperra Subway, although they were stupid as i refused to buy the 2 subs and walked out!!!!!!! If they dont wanna accept it dont buy the subs everyone!

    • The subway that I went to had a huge thing on the door stating that they accept ALL subway coupons. And the manager was really nice and had no problem with it.

  • Went to Albury (myer complex). chicken teriyaki and coke $13.65 (IIRC) and they took the coupon.

  • +1

Just picked up this deal at Mt Ommaney's Subway on a foot long chicken schnitzel and 500ml ice break (x2).
    Thanks OP.

    • +1

      chicken schnitzel

Gueeees….. Thats a premium sub. Hey big spender

      • No, it's the next level down from premium - $9.95 hereand the premiums are $10.95.

Total of $13.20 here for two footlong subs and 2 cokes. :)

The cheaper ones at the local store are $7.50, and the drinks 3.20, so for barely more than $10 you could in theory feed 2 to 4 people. Bargain! :)

        • argh, perhaps i was thinking chicken parma…

  • Are you sure you need a coupon? On my way home from work, I saw these ads on buses and the train billboards in Sydney CBD. Seems to me like just a normal limited time offer.

    • +1

On the voucher it says, present the voucher to receive the deal. Interesting to see if you can get it without one.

    • +1

Summer of Subs is an ongoing promotion, and I am guessing is what you are likely to have seen on the bus. This offer only started today and expires on Sunday - aweful lot of expense to paint a bus for just a week I'd say.

I did ask at the local store if they'd accept the vouchers and was told that they did have to have the voucher.

    • You sure you've seen this "deal" advertised on buses? I've seen the subway ad's which say "the long lunch" with a picture of a footlong sub, but no mention of any deal. This coupon also has the "the long lunch" slogan.

For those who are quoting $3.20 and $3.50 for the drink, are you buying the post-mix cup drink, or the 600ml bottle of coke? Because in the deal ad, it has pictures of the 600ml "buddy" bottles, and mentions those specific bottles in the small print.
I would have thought a 600ml buddy would be closer to $4.

      • I bought Teriyaki and Chicken Fillet footlong and 2 x 600ml bottles for $13.50

      • Yep, 600ml "buddy" is $3.50 at my local stores

      • 600ml "buddy" is $3.20 at my local store

  • They accepted the voucher at the Currambine WA store,at first the girl working was a touch hesitant (wasn't sure if there store was participating) but after calling her manager who confirmed it was all good,i must say the girl making my sub's was really friendly and well mannered which is for this store a rare thing.

    • +2

she must be new, give her time

  • Accepted at Richmond and got chicken fillet, chicken teriyaki, and 2 mothers =D

  • How do we know which stores they will be accepted at? (without having to actually go instore)

    • Not possible, they effectivly are not OBLIDGED to honour it, though it is in good faith that they do.

    • You could call beforehand to check - just ask if they accept subway facebook vouchers.

  • Chapel St VIC had a deal advertised for 2 Footlongs for $15 and get 2 Buddy's for only $5.50 more and only available after 5pm.. lol. Reckon they will accept this voucher?

  • Accepted at the Myer Pitt Street (Sydney) food court.

  • When I went at Hornsby (the outside one near the fountain), the worker was hesitant and went to ask her manager, and even then they refused to give me a second drink for free.

    :(

Good deal otherwise, just a warning :)

    • This also at Carlingford Court, I can only get one free subway but not the free drink. :(

  • In SA, that tiny 600 mL Coke costs $4

No big deal, compared to weeks of half-priced Whoppers, before Feb.

  • The dude that served me asked me where he could get these vouchers, told him facebook =)

  • Accepted at Edward Street Wagga Wagga NSW for those interested

  • +1

Works at the Clayton (Vic) store, Centre Rd. Yesterday and today, 2 meatball subs with cheese and salad and 2 600mL cokes for $10.50.

Funny thing was that a few people had the vouchers today and each time the girl scrutinised the voucher for a good 15 seconds like it was the first time she'd seen them!

  • Wish i had more friends to share with. Is it possible to buy an extra sub at lunch and eat it at dinner time or will it taste funny?

    • People do it. When you consider that if you buy a ready-made sandwich it could already have been sitting there for several hours, it's really no different.

    • Seems to get a little soggy and mushy if you get sauce with it. Some hate that, some don't mind it.

  • Lived off of this deal for it's duration. Chicken schnitzel for lunch/dinner
