Officeworks - Parker Managers Chair $59.00
This was posted 1 year 3 months 11 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
This deal has been posted before, however it says its expired.
I went to my local officeworks yesterday at Guildford, and they had about 5 of these lying there for the low price of $59.00.
Checked online, and looks like its still available for some who have missed out.
If you think this is a dupe, please feel free to delete this post! Cheers!

+5 votesdoesn't have proper lower back support. I bought one and returned it within 7 days.
The high back is good if you want to lean back and watch movies. i even tried watching tv with it and it was comfortable. However, when you need to type for a long time and sit up straight, it's not recommended because your body tends to sink to the back.
maxdestructo574 on 11/02/2012 - 13:36 ¶Thanks just ordered two for the house. Both using years old student chairs with hard padding so this will be a big change for us! There are some other chairs in their current catalogue for a similar price which are physically smaller but don't really look bad in any way for the cost. This is better though I feel, definitely.

xfiledavid on 12/02/2012 - 07:53 ¶also sitting one i brought years and years ago.
not much padding, but better than most.
beachmuscles on 11/02/2012 - 15:06 ¶Great value at $59. Wide body and High back. No real lowerback support, but show me a chair for $59 that can do that!

Sonny Crockett on 13/02/2012 - 10:37 ¶They tried telling me that since they were out of stock on the website that I missed out and they would have to refund my money, they then tried selling me non-existant floor stock. Then tried telling me they would get one in from another store…
Surprise surprise, they found stock from the QLD online warehouse with my name on it out the back…I swear Officeworks hires monkeys!
It's a good chair, after a week or so lacking a little bit of support in the back but for $59 it's pretty good.

Do your back a big favor:
. Before you choose your chair, test its lumbar (lower-back) support
I returned a similar chair to OW, mostly because its gas support cylindar failed, as did the $10 replacement I bought at OW for it…
THEN, I found a similar chair at IKEA… the difference was like chalk ^ cheese: Only the IKEA chair had -good- lumbar-support. YMMV.
PS It speaks well of OW that they took back their faulty chair (sans receipt, even). The OW chair was leather-covered, the IKEA vinyl-covered.
(IKEA chair was $5 less than my OW cost, but felt $1,000,000 better!)
Still the IKEA chair gives me & my back real pleasure, when sitting on it, like the OW chair couldn't do (It's lumbar-support was way to soft!). YMMV
+2 votesWhat IKEA chair model are you talking about?
All their high back chairs cost from around $200 and up!The only cheap I found is this one $89: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/70212485/
GreatWhiteHunter on 11/02/2012 - 22:01 ¶I got one about 2 weeks ago - I like it…
Very comfy and looks good.
xfiledavid on 12/02/2012 - 07:54 ¶pull the lever out and it should tilt, push it in to lock..
if it the same as mine…
superforever on 12/02/2012 - 14:12 ¶Saw it today but no demo to try. The only concern is the seat deep enough because some cheap model is not.
R3XNebular on 12/02/2012 - 20:00 ¶I'd go plush over fabric. The chair you displayed is much nicer than the managers chair. I've tried both.

I bought one the first time this deal came up.
PROS: Soft, cheap, nice fabric
CONS: Horrible back support, HORRIBLE. You can only use this for watching movies/playing games. I have to sit on the edge of the seat if I need to actually surf the web.
Would I buy this again? Never, it's horribly uncomfortable after prolonged use - luckily I use it for Xbox a lot.
Be warned, and buy at own risk.
