What's wrong with Seagate?
Where else has it for cheaper?
http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=1Tb+2.5%22&...I must say though, as mentioned above, $129 for 1.5Tb is a much better deal!

50% increase in storage space for only 30% more in cost!

Let's ask Google:

Funny, because if you substitute, say, Western Digital for Seagate, the results jump from 12 million to 166 million. And if you search the question as a phrase, they're even (unless you consider Western Digital is commonly abbreviated, in which case it takes the "what's wrong with it" lead).
Unscientific comparions aside, a better question is "what's wrong with people who think their personal experience is a sensible indicator of HD brand reliability"?

+7 votesSeriously you guys have missed to plot.
it is a 2.5 inch drive, not the cheaper 3.5 inch drive.
Brocky2006, show us where you can get a 2tb 2.5 inch usb powered ext drive for $99.
Maybe you guys should look at the deal before b1tching about it and showing how little you really know.
A Myahopping search http://www.myshopping.com.au/PR--369381_Seagate_ST910004EXA1... shows cheapest price is $139.
Maybe you idiots should do some research before you complain to a company that is trying to save you a few bucks.
+4 votesFirst comment still stands though. They currently have the 1tb for $129, and the 1.5tb for $129. They then do a restricted run of the 1tb at $99 on special. By their own standards, the 1.5tb is probably a better buy.
Maybe a bargain for the out-of-towners, with free delivery for $99, but for me it is not quite there yet.
USB2.0, should be around $79. It will be in about a month I guess/hope.

-1 voteI've been in the market for a 1Tb portable 2.5" drive for a while now since the price hike last year, never really seen it go below $100 let alone if the retailer even has stock left. I did see an article somewhere earlier today talking about how prices of hard drives are about to jump again by 20-30%. Going to get one just because I am tired of waiting for the prices to return to normal and the $99 pricetag was what I was budgeting to get under. I would get the 1.5Tb but the only store with stock is about a 45 min drive away.

Just wondering why the Seagate Expansion Portable 1.5TB have the same price ($129) with this 1TB drive on your web. Seems this 1TB drive is selling overprice from your web. Even you now have a $99 one-hour deal, I will think it is just a normal price and not a deal at all.
