I don’t want to buy a birthday cake and candles for my camera…
If you were gonna get this one, do yourself a favour and jump to the Officeworks website (or any other really).
A quick search shows that Kodak Easyshare C813 Digital Camera (KOC813, 8.2 Mega Pixels, Announced 01-Jan-08) for $92. With free postage this makes it $25 cheaper than the 6-year-old camera this “deal” suggests.
Or for the same price get a Canon PowerShot A470 Digital Camera (CAPSA470SR, 7.1 Mega Pixels, Face Detection Announced 24-Jan-08).
I therefore have to vote this deal down.
I do agree the MegaPixal of the camera is really a good marketing term for the gernal digital camera user.
The model C813 and A470 only can be consider as compact entry level DC. It really hard to compared with HP 850’s powerful functions, Lens and Photo quality.
DC change a lot on its MegaPixal recently, but Lens didn’t changed much. If you want get a 8MP DC wiht similar spec to HP 850 DC. It’s talking about $300-$400 min.
Higher MegaPixal does not imply good Photo quality.

I reckon I saw these at Shipping Square over 2 years ago and even then they were a superseeded model!
