out of stock Eneloop Rechargeable Glitter (8x AA) Batteries - $19.99 Delivered - Dick Smith
This was posted 1 year 2 months 28 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
DSE has the Eneloop glitter pack (1,500 recharges / 1.2 V / 2,000 mAh) for just $19.99 delivered.
Note that it's a one-day, online-only offer. Oh, and if the frenzy back in September is anything to go by, you'd better get those orders in as soon as possible.

I have a Maha charger, don't know the model but 8 slots (AAA or AA) very good to use. Can do discharge!

Come with the car charging adapter. Handy.
+2 votesThank you! I was actually going to go to Dick's today and buy a 4 pack AA for a new camera.
I have the Eneloop charger and it is a dumb charger. If you overcharge your batteries it reduces their lifespan. I ditched it and bought a Maha C401FS intelligent charger. Gotta look after your Eneloops.

+1 voteYeah support told me to call Paypal to cancel it and try CC.
Whoop de doo, my cc got charged but DSE didn't see it.
Called up again… "Oh it'll go back to your card in [several, I forget what he said] business days."
So I tried to throw my money at an Australian retailer, but noooo neither payment option worked for me. FML.

POWERevolution on 23/02/2012 - 07:53 ¶Missed out last time got one this time. Thanks OP!
Also don't forget 3.5% cashback @MBC!
Their website didn't work under Opera! (ie. can't change address)
Now need to hunt for some AAA … please post if there is one.
POWERevolution on 23/02/2012 - 08:00 ¶Yeah their site is not compatible with Opera others may confirm with firefox.
Just checkout with Google Chrome.
Assassin151 on 23/02/2012 - 07:59 ¶+ve for this, bought two packs ages ago and love em.
Can someone explain this moneybackco buckscoop business to me?
+3 votesthe discombobul... on 23/02/2012 - 08:05 ¶Kids consume a lot of batteries,
I know batteries are full of energy and all but, really, you're meant to feed your kids /food/. Fruit, veg and meat and stuff.
Seriously.

over the lifetime of the rechargable you will save hundreds of dollars per battery compared to buying drycells.
they may not last quite as long in the appliance but you have only bought it once (although it a bit more expensive).
Rechargables are usually the only way to go.

Thanks, grabbed some :)
I haven't used rechargeables in ages - does it matter what kind of charger you use, will it change the lifespan or amount of charge held by the batteries? I use AA batteries in an old camera, and it literally eats batteries, I go through 2 AA per day of shooting, which is why I swapped back from rechargeable to standard duracell, as they seemed to last a bit longer.
+3 votesdigitalaxon on 23/02/2012 - 08:34 ¶Morning Bobsi,
For high drain devices, rechargables such as 2500mah or higher are probably the way to go (flashes, digital cameras, remote controlled toys etc)… For example: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/S4469/eneloop-xx-lsd-1-2v-25...
However the higher capacity eneloop batteries do have some disadvantages vs the 2000mah eneloops (shorter lifespan, faster self discharge when not used)…
These batteries (2000mah eneloops) are not a one dose suits all, and the right battery you choose is definitely reliant on your use type (slow long term, fast short term power usage etc).
Also to consider are Nickel Zinc rechargable batteries that have even more punch to them (but need a special charger)…
+1 votejust so you know, i used sanyo 2400 rechargeables and later on eneloops for my canon speedlite 430 ex 2. (which is powered by 4 AAs) with no dramas.
been using eneloops ever since they launched (was given free at their event).. i find them more reliable and cheaper than those oneshot ones :)
beauty of it is that the batteries (not these ones in the post), are white based, so they can be marked easily with a black marker which batch it is.
gandhi28152 on 23/02/2012 - 08:20 ¶i did, and that's the only charger i had…, but i only charge it for 8-10 hours… dun dare to charge more than that hours

I bought a La Crosse charger from Amazon:
Works with all NiCd and NiMH “AA” and “AAA” Rechargeable Batteries
LCD shows capacity for each battery when charging is complete
Charges AA & AAA rechargeable batteries simultaneously
Will not charge defective batteries
Select different charging current for each channel
Automatically switches to trickle charge when charging is complete to ensure maximum battery capacity
Automatically defaults to 200mA charge (the optimal setting for prolonging battery life)
Overheat detection to protect over-charging
7 Easy to Use Function Keys
Charge Mode (charging current)
Discharge Mode (discharging current)
Refresh Mode (time elapsed)
Test Mode (accumulated capacity)

+4 votesFirstly, great deal! Eneloop are clearly the best LSD rechargables in the market and have been so for yrs….sorry Imedion, you lose capacity too fast.
But BLOODY HELL….I missed out on this deal in SEP and have waited and waited - finally ordered 8 Eneloops off Amazon yesterday! $29 delivered, best price I could find in the world for certain legit stock (these are VERY widely faked!).
That said I still bought another 2 packs via this deal - its too good to turn up. Word of advice to all those who've bought - CONGRATS you have the best LSD rechargables currently available to consumers SO DON'T be silly enough to kill them in a 'dumb' charger…buy a Powerex Maha 9000 or La Crosse. Google is your friend, dumb chargers will kill the Eneloops..again DYOR. Again, cracking deal - thanks OP.

I have used eneloops for years and they are now the minimum standard I will accept in a rechargeable AA - they are great. Did not know they do glitter though….
