alwayseric on 23/03/2012 - 21:41 ¶i want to know this, too. this deal has been posted here for a few times, and everytime it won a lot of complements. but, i really want to know which one (100l or 160l) is the max size for checkin on a flight? also, is it water-proof? if i put all my cloths in it and go overseas, i wish i could have all my clothes and other stuff intact when i claim my luggage at the airport.

This is from Qantas but should be similar for other airlines… It's 157cm for Singapore Airlines not sure for others.
The 140L one is 178cm and the 100L is 160cm so if you pack them full it won't be (technically) allowed (wonder if they check or not though…)
But yeah they sure are great for just clothes though eh? I mean the thing only weights like 1kg according to the specs which is a godsend for luggage! (considering traditional luggages weigh like 3kg+)
stellaoriens on 23/03/2012 - 17:48 ¶Has anyone used them before? Not really keen to buy just because they're cheap.

I bought the 60L bag not long ago and bought it onto Jetstar and Tiger Airways flights without any issues. You'll find that the bag (if you haven't stuffed it tight) is very flexible and will fit into the bag measuring frames they have.
This isn't to say that you might not get stopped with it, but I had no problems and I'd do it again.
+4 votesLast time I bought a 60L and a 140L. They're quite well made and great for this price. The 60 is smallish but useful, I use the 140L one to carry a LOT of drum gear in (throne, sticks, etc) since it's pretty huge. They both have normal carry handles, a shoulder strap, and even a carry handle at each end which is VERY useful. They even have two clip straps which are used to take any strain off the zipper - really good design.
