      I have had one of these for awhile now.
      Would recommend it but be aware that it is only essentially mono even though it takes a stereo plug from the source. Have not used it with Iphone/Ipod but it works by plugging into the earphone socket of any device.

      I think it's so you can leave your device indoors and have the speakers outdoors since they are water resistant
