PS3 Console 160GB - $276 - Harvey Norman, Bella Vista NSW
This was posted 1 year 2 months 8 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
As stated above, bare bones package, just the console and 1 controller for $276.
I called many stores in my area and checked OZB, and except for the unbelievable $200 JB and $232 BigDub which i doubt will be repeated anytime soon, this looks pretty good.
Called another HNorman in the area which quoted $324, asked for a better price and they said $298…wierd
I sufferred the YLOD and justed wanted a cheapish console.
This is the best i could find.
1st bargain post for me, so let me have it ! Bwwaaaahahahahaha ! :D

These prices seem to be on and off all the time.
You can exclude $232, it won't happen anytime soon.
But yeah i missed that previous $276…although it's now expired.
My experience today (GGuys, Game, EB, another HNorman) put the standard price around $325 with the best haggled price at $298, then this was just sitting there waiting to be taken.
+1 votePretty sure the 320 was $377,
…….and you can just make out the deal on the original photo on my phone.
'Special offer, 320gb console + 1 dual shock controller + 1 platinum game for $448'
I've done zero investigation into whether that's good or not, just letting you know what it says if you can't read it.
enforcer103 on 12/04/2012 - 15:08 ¶just look for a nice dse storeperson - they've got a few lying lying around looking for 70 buck profit cash…..minimum.

Depends on if you want to get PlayTV.
If you do then it's worth having a bigger hard drive so you can record more shows…
Having said that, if you're buying PlayTV separately then it's cheaper to upgrade the hard drive yourself.
Buy a 2.5inch (aka laptop) hard drive from a computer shop and you can do it, there's instructions in the PS3 manual and lots of videos on youtube if you'd rather be stepped through more visually.
+2 votesCan't the YLOD be fixed by dismantling and replacing the heatsink thermal paste?
Just the I haven't had the YLOD but I personally dismantled my fat PS3 version 3 weeks ago, was overheating, fan was going crazy, too much dust, washed some components, cleaned the rest, replaced the thermal paste and was all good, found some youtube vid's showing YLOD's being fixed by doing just that. Give it a shot
