This was posted 1 year 1 month 13 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Trying to find a discount code for the movies and stumbled across this one. Says you have to show your rydges card at the box office when you pick up your card, but mine didnt check for it.
$10 + $1.10
— DOES NOT WORK FOR 3D MOVIES —
For those of you that want to be 100%, Rydges membership is free to join by the following URL:

Keep in mind that you need to make a booking to get your card anyway.
For those of you that are already a member, enjoy.
People seem to have been discussing this on other submission's comments, but no one seems to have posted it.

DragonDrew on 14/04/2012 - 03:52 ¶Did you tell him to shove it where the sun don't shine? Optus doesn't need a card as it's booked through OptusMobile and all you need is a phone with Optus for cheap tickets.

I posted this ages ago (almost two years and the process has changed http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/30856)
I use Optus tickets on general and 3D and Rydges on VMAX.

I took the opportunity went to the event cinema on George Street this morning. I watched the Hunger Games in a vmax cinema almost all by myself.
They didn't ask for the rydges card, well, even if they ask, I am all prepared. All you need to do is login on their website, and register as a new member, than print a temperate card.
I am gonna to watch more movies with this discount. Does anyone know when is this gonna be expire?
madmouse58 on 15/04/2012 - 00:20 ¶yep, thats the field you enter it in, double check that you arent selected a 3D movie session.
after you enter the code, instead of selecting ADULT, a new field appears called "Rydges Loyalty Web", thats the one you select.

crazym0nkey on 17/04/2012 - 13:02 ¶you right, I didn't know they had diff prices at diff areas.
I checked 2 locations (near me) 1 was $20, other was $15 (before vouchers).
Also checked against the "NFT" sessions, it works.Rydges code works out to be a-little over 10% discount (Brisbane south-side areas).

madmouse58 on 17/04/2012 - 08:46 ¶fixed.
seems that its only a few select cinemas thats it is no longer working on. my local one was working 2 days ago, now its no longer working.
thanks for the info.

I think most of us were just quietly enjoying it……
Having 'rydges' ticket sales go through the roof all of a sudden might not be a good thing…….
