Seems like a deal to me.

Bought from them before and delivery takes about 2 weeks.

  • Would you happen to have a 256gb drive for around the same gb per dollar?

64gb is a tad too small for what i want to do (dedicated (and single) hard drive on a work laptop)

If anyone is wondering, 64GB is plenty for Windows 7 and software.

You just have to disable hibernation and reduce your pagefile (assuming you have 4GB+ Ram)

    • actually, i would still use hibernation with SSDs because I like the idea of having all the windows/apps loaded the last time I left it.

To each his own I suppose.

Pagefiles are another beast though… one would think that with 16gb of ram, my desktop doesn't page out.. but it still bloody does it.

      • You always need a pagefile for general compatibility with everything, its normal for things you don't need often or be quickly paged out.

I have a 1GB pagefile with my 8GB of ram and its more then enough.

    • I'm using my old 60GB vertex 2 as a SSD cache on a new Intel H77 board as part of Smart Response technology with a 1TB 7200rpm, and it's works great as a compromise between a pure SSD solution and HDD capacity. Gives me most of a SSD's boot time after a couple of boots and I can install all my steam games, which now loads so much faster than HDD way. The big 64GB cache capacity gives much faster and more consistent performance than the Intel 20GB SSDs that were reviewed on most tech sites.

I would recommend someone on a budget with a new build to get this SSD for this purpose. But if you are willing to splash out a bit more get bigger capacity SSD is the way to go.

  • How about warranty? Do you need to return it to HK if there are issues?

  • Paypal currancy converter comes to $90.03

    • then add on any fees your overseas CC charges if applicable…

  • SSDs are just brilliant.

Best upgrade I've made to my pc. The size is perfect. I still have some 20 gigabytes left over from my windows 7 installation + iTunes + Office + pagefile + Dropbox documents etc etc. Steam (games), music, movies, porn, older documents and pictures all go one my hdd.

It really is a no brainer. I'm surprised they aren't more popular yet.
