  • Sanity going bust?

    • I think it's more a Warner promo given the webpage saying 'WHV clearance', but who knows…

      • Yup. Warner seem to be clearing all their Blu-Ray stocks.

They have new promo from tomorrow Buy One Get One Free Blu-Rays (Probably not with these titles though)

        Overstocked perhaps.

  • Bought the Stanley Kubrick collection. That's a bargain for all those films on blu-ray.

    • They've changed the price to $79. It really was a deal at $19.

      • +1

They haven't changed the price, it's still $20 on Blu-Ray in-store. The DVD set is 79

        • +1

Cool, though the Coles stores near me didn't have any stock of the %20 off gift cards, so I had to play the full $19. What a rip off ;).

  • +2

    Stanley Kubrick box-set, now that's a bargain!

  • Thanks Op, awesome bargain.

  • +1

Ah comeon.. double packs aren't boxsets..
    Misleading title.

    • +1

Well seeing some of the double packs are packaged in boxes with individual cases, i disagree

  • Stanley Kubrick collection sold out :(

    • check again, seems to be back in stock

EDIT: opps gone again, strange :/

    • It sold out in the couple of minutes it took to write in my shipping details :'(

    • +1

I saw a bunch in store today when i got one, so maybe ring a few in the morning?

    • +1

You can pre-order it store. The stores in Townsville I went to both have shipments coming in. Paid $19.99 today and reserved one. Maybe your store will do the same.

  • +1

Wow…good thing i didn't procastinate about getting the Stanley Kubrick collection. Came to $25 including shipping. For some reason there was no store pickup in WA (not sure if that means there is none left in stores or not)

    • Hmm, was considering trying my local store in WA :(

  • Wait sanity still exists? I thought they went bust ages ago.

    • -1

Surely they must be operating on a loss now for years.

      • Not sure why I'm being negged (Sanity shareholders?)

Have any of you even been in a Sanity store before? Their prices are at least 50% higher than any other retailer.

  • Damn, saw this too late, would've picked up the Kubrick collection!

    • You can go instore and order it at this price.

      • No Sanity stores up here.

  • It seems like this is a in-store special too, with stock arriving instore this week.

  • Few good bargains - it would appear WHV gave Sanity a deal on all their discontinued multi-pack titles, slapped together with some obscure stuff, and standard "trade wide" titles too.

(eg all the good sold out collections mentioned above - theres a Woodstock 2-disc Blu-ray for $9.99, normal RRP is $79.95 on that one !?!?)

Although last time I ordered from them when they had 'clearance' specials, the three or four bargains I ordered went to backorder, then "no longer available sorry". Good luck to those that placed an order - you might need it.

Seems they survived by closing a lot of stores (and at one stage even getting out of Tasmania completely), and focusing more on their online presence.

    • Their prices are pretty much insanity

  • Just picked up a stanley kubrick box set in store brandon park in glen waverly, vic. There's 1 left!!!

  • I got the DiCaprio 3 movie set (3 for 40) as well as Serenity and Inception (both 3 for 40) to buffer it out as well as get free delivery.

    Awesome!

  • I got the last Kubrick boxset at Watergardens VIC.

  • +1

I ordered the Kubrick collection and a 3 for $40 deal yesterday and they've all been shipped today!

  • Got the Stanley Kubrick collection in store. Combined this with the 20% off Sanity gift cards at Coles ($25 card for $20). At the moment I am an extra $0.01 out of pocket but have a gift card with $5.01 value left.

  • +2

Also combined this with the Coles 20% off deal today. After discounting it works out to be insanely cheap - $16 for the Kubrick collection ie $2 a movie! They had original price stickers of $99.

  • Anyone have the direct link to Blind Side & Valentines day & Fools Gold & Curious Case of Benjamin Button? Can't find it on Sanity online

Looks like it's sold out unfortunately :(

      • Thanks :o) emailed Sanity online - waiting to hear if they are getting anymore or can get one from a store for me.

    • You could also try in store, my local Sanity had this on the shelf. It was stickered as part of the 3 for $40 deal. Very cheap for about $3 a movie considering they were all in individual cases.

      • I went to local store yesterday and they had no stock but might get some next week. Hopefully online can help me out. Thanks for the suggestion :o) Did you see any other multi blu-ray packs in the 3 for $40 instore?

        • Didn't see any other blu ray sets in that deal other than those on the list above. They had stock of pretty much everything on the list above, but are missing a few now I've raided it. They had multiples of Kubrick but low stock on the rest.

  • Got the Stanley Kubrick collection in store (sunshine plaza,Qld they had 5 left). Combined this with the 20% off Sanity gift cards at Coles ($25 card for $20). Got some DVD wipes for $5. Thanks op

  • +1

The 20% discount was really timely. Got one 3 for $40 and a 2 for 1, ended up being $79.99 with free shipping. So I was going to be out of pocket $4.99 after my 3x $25 vouchers for $60. Lo and behold, I decided to subscribe to their deals on checkout, and I received a $5 promo voucher! So in the end, got one cent left over. :)

    • What subscription deal? Didn't see that when I bought in-store this evening.

      • Bought online. Went to update my address details and noticed the option under changing password and date of birth.

  • +1

Hey guys, has anyone else received their shipment yet

  • I've never been lucky with sanity….. they've always cancelled my orders

  • Placed an online order of 3 for $40 Blu Ray and no sign of it being shipped yet, still processing. The site says they ship 3 times a day….hmmmm, maybe not.

  • Received the Stanley Kubrick collection in the post today. Sealed and packed well, very happy.

  • +1

Very thumbs up. Got the Stanley Kubrick collection at Greenhills store. Quite a happy chappy.

  • i just bought the Stanley Kubrick Box Set for $20 at Innalloo in W.A.
it wasnt on the shelf i had to ask at the counter and the lady searched out the back and they had a copy.
dont give up your search people

  • +1

I picked up the last Kubrick box today from
Frankson sanity, the clerk said he got in about 5 from other stores after his first batch sold out because of demand, so maybe ask your store if they can source what you want if it's not in stock…
