Saw the brochure in today's Melbourne Herald Sun, cheaper than Kogan and you get little margin at 'bricks and mortar' retailers.

iPad with Wi-Fi
16GB -> $498
32Gb -> $628
64GB -> $748

iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G**
16GB -> $668
32Gb -> $778
64GB -> $858

**4G not compatible with any current Australian 4G network

          It's not called Wifi+4g on the Apple website anymore, it's called Wifi+Cellular.

        Don't bother with BigW stock. All you need to do is;
        1. Print out BigW iPad Ad page with discounted price
        2. Go to Apple Store (Sydney George St) and ask for a price match of BigW

        I got one with this method - they were happy, I was happy.

        Yes, not all GG stores stock ipads. Those that do stock them have limited availability. Well, stores within travelling distance of me anyway.

          My reply was to wxyz234 about stock levels. With that 20% off deal, Good Guys would have less in stock than Big W imo(they all seem to be out of stock before the 20% off gift card deal even started), then again it all depends where you live.

        Maybe you need to travel a little further - my local has them as of last Sat but didn't go into which models they had in stock as I only observed them getting one out for a customer and it didn't look like they were in short supply.

    If you still have gift cards, it's a bargain. Though there were reports some stores will only let you use them at RRP.

    Got Myers to price match the $858 Big W price and then used the gift card discount they had last week which brought the price down to $780. Went back and bought a second one for the in-laws. Big W had no stock of the 64G 3G at the time but they never rang to check.

    I just bought my new iPad this morning. Got the 16gb wifi 4g one for 639 without even bargaining. Thr sales guy just offered me that price and told me ignore the advertisement. Then I used 550$ of the of thr gift cards. So that means I only cost me 529! Bargain!!

    Goodguys Ossy Park had sold out of the 16gb models when I went there today.

    FYI Dick Smith would not price match $498. Apparently its "below cost" so I ended up driving another 5 minutes around the corner got one from Big W. 16gb wifi "New" Ipad $498.

      Shizz I went to OZ Park last week they had a black new iPad 16G for $490 I didn't even mention anything about the price match etc. But I didn't buy it because I wanted a white iPad. I think most TGG willing to sell them at $490 which I doubt it is below cost but only DSE being a Dick.

    I have used this previously to get iPod and iMac, and it saves time from shopping around .

    hey guys, can you tell me why you would pay a premium price to get the 64/32GB model instead of the 16GB model?

    Since we have itunes wi-fi sync;
    many applications can do wireless upload content from PC to iPad;
    many DLNA UPNP Airplay devices can stream videos wirelessly and you
    have dropbox/box.net/google drive to exchange content in the cloud.

    Is it just simply because mine 64GB is twice better than your 32GB model?
    or is it because I want to store more movies on my iPad and don't want to bother copying them frequently?
    Or my wireless is too suck can't do wireless streaming?

      So you still need enough storage on your iPad (also wifi sync is very slow) and because of the new display a lot of new apps especially games are getting bigger and bigger.
