I buy stuff from Meritline like it's candy. I have something like 9 LED torches now. All those spare batteries have to be inserted somewhere you know.

I just wish they didn't use literal snails to deliver my stuff.

i don't think you can import laser >1mW, since its marked <5mW its likely to be "confiscated" (is it the right word?). Well they will take the laser and send a little note.
Later a lot of papers with lot more info…. like…you need to apply for import of weapon permission…

    looks like you need to fill two forms
    
    "B709B Form – Importation of Weapons – Police Confirmation" and "B710 Form – Application for Permission to Import Schedule 2 & 3 Weapons".
    
    I tried to import one but did not get through! And have heard of few stories like mine and few where it got through(lucky ones)….
    Back then we wanted to try laser graffiti at uni…
    
    so, JV.. please enlighten us with "you just need to get permission from the Minister for Home Affairs first"
    
    Would be grateful you can explain how you imported yours!
    
    I think i have got my first strike at the customs importing <20mW laser wouldn't wanna try my luck again….

  Wrong lazers still successfully get imported into Australia, what they do now days is take off the label sticker and send it, I know sites that have alot of Australian customers giving feedback in recovering them, I also recently recieved a 200mw red pointer, must have been lucky then. I using mine for astronomy, it's those idiots fault who tried blinding a few pilots. Iif not the lazers shouldnt be so hard getting into aus.
