JB Hifi Northland
Sticker had the price marked down to $579. Was still undecided on what tablet to buy, out of interest asked for best price and was told $450! I wasn't going to hang around wondering if he had made a mistake, had to take it on the spot. Looked like there was heaps in stock. Can't find a better price anywhere.

+5 votesnice sturdy tablet that turns into a slim laptop with a dock - some of them have bugs with wifi or gps due to the metallic case. So dont forget to claim the dongle http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68431
Very tempting at that price but wanna see if there is much improvements in pad infinity when it comes out
onebutters on 26/05/2012 - 17:00 ¶Yea what shorty said. The infinity is coming out in 1-2 months time so this price might not be such a mistake.
+1 votethe69thhokage on 26/05/2012 - 17:06 ¶The TF-700 (infinity) is said to be a even higher model than the TF-201, priced to start at $100 more. Probably won't drive down the price too much since JB have it retailing for $792 with dock.

What can we say…
5 years ago => JB, you have done it again!!
Nowadays => JB, you haven't done it for ages..
I am kinda surprised that no one complains about JB's pricing but HN or DSE. I saw PLENTY item are as expensive as those retailer yet it seems there are far less complaint towards JB…
StarkIndustries on 26/05/2012 - 17:13 ¶Great deal! Also tell us if you've encountered any GPS issues.

The transformer pad 300 might be worth it for those who want 3G and the dock.
Specs are very similar to the transformer prime. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4596&idPhone2=...
+1 votetf300 is a lower cost version of the prime with plastic shell to fix the issues the tf201 which had with the metal case. But I rather prefer the metal casing with the tf201 (it feels sturdy and more slick!) obviously as long as ur wifi and gps is working!
This pretty much sums up the differences http://whrl.pl/Rdb2Hj

64gb version shipped to aus for about $340 AUD
if you log onto the page and its in us just change to AUD up the top, may need to go to site homepage for changing to aud, no dock but still cheaper then this

ESET NOD32 wouldn't even let me go on the site:

+5 votesGot one 3 days ago for $520 with dock at TGG!
using their 20% off on RRP (one day sale) and and 20% off TGG gift card from aus post!Issues i have encountered….
1) haven't tried GPS out doors yet (>5min), no satellite lock…
Ps, my SDS2 manages to get a lock indoors :p
2) WiFi and Bluetooth issue when used simultaneously…
- Bluetooth mouse(DELL) works flawlessly with no wifi performance degradation….
- Bluetooth headset will connect but not work on my desk (~1m from wifi router)
- Bluetooth headset will connect and work on my bed (~2.5m from wifi router) may be with minor wifi performance degradation
- Bluetooth headset will connect and work in my kitchen (~5m from wifi router) with major wifi performance degradation (struggles to stream video on LAN)
(performance degradation is based on streaming video from a local server— bit crude)
from my initial judgement its some kind of radio design issue…so to conclude if you wanna stream video from a NAS and use a Bluetooth audio system… stay away

which store was that from? what did TGG charge you before the 20% discount?
I had to drive an hour to Warrawong TGG to grab a 64gb Prime with dock.
They had $799 rrp less 20% sale, bringing it to $640, then like you I stacked it with the 20% off gift cards, meaning it then cost me $512.Then I went to the USA for a week and got my $58.18 GST back off the $640 I paid. So my TF201 64gb with dock only cost me $581.82.
Next I will claim the $640 cost off my tax as I can claim it as a work tool. Potentially another 30% tax break. I dont think there is any more that can be done (legally)
PS. I have ordered my GPS dongle but it still hasnt arrived.
StarkIndustries on 07/06/2012 - 15:50 ¶That's a great deal, can you provide a receipt or something?

StarkIndustries on 09/06/2012 - 03:40 ¶I actually got mine for 420 which is still pretty good, but I've been thinking of exchanging it because of light bleeding, haven't decided yet
StarkIndustries on 09/06/2012 - 20:12 ¶To be honest, you don't really need a receipt, I didn't need one I just used my mouth and told the salesperson that I other JB HI-FIs were selling at this price. I got mine from Parramatta. :)
