expired 60% off MEElectronics SP51 Sound Preference In-Ear Headphone - $29 USD Delivered
This was posted 11 months 20 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
I received an email from MEElectronics today. They are now back again with their SP51, an in ear headphone which can be tuned bass to your preference by its rear ports.
As usual, hard clam shell case, silicone tips are included but also 3 sets of sound preference tuning ports.
60% off MEElectronics SP51 sounds like an awesome bargain for me however their previous deals made me burn my money on M6 and M11+ already so trying so hard not to be lured now.
Coupon Code
Discount Code: SP51_DAD_GRAD (60% off original price)
Shipping Code: SHIPPING_SP51 ($2.95 off delivery cost)
These codes can also apply for SP51P (same model with microphone) as well.
Thus $29 USD and $33 USD deivered for SP51 and SP51P respectively.
Congratulation to those who did well to control themselves from previous deals, now you can spend money on SP51 without guilty.

+1 voteFrom the reviews of ljokerl and ClieOS, M4 should be better than SP51, but SP51 has the unique adjustable bass feature as some people might prefer. SP51 got a 3.8/5 from ClieOS, not too far from M4's 4.2/5. It's usually down to personal preference. This is a great deal!
Edit: I should add that shipping will be faster for SP51 from the US, than shipping for M4 from Hong Kong. I still own a pair of Meelec M2 (not to be confused with Brainwavz M2).
+2 votesI don't have Brainwavz M4 to compare so I can't tell about sound quality.
Also Brainwavz M4 reviews is not many when compare to MEElectronics SP51.
But according to kingpage, I guess he is probably right as M4 is supposed to be a bass upgraded version of B2.
Based on customer reviews on amazon, SP51 is more positive in the other hand. Thus what I can really say is, with 2 pairs of MEElectronics on hand, I'm really confidence with build qualities and durable of their product. I like MEElectronics cord and its tough strain relief.
+2 votesM4 is supposed to be the (a lot) cheaper and (a little) bassier version of B2, not M2. M2 is very warm, mid-centric and should be (much) bassier than M4. I had Brainwavz M2 and still have Meelec M2, I wouldn't have bought Brainwavz M4 if M4 and (Brainwavz) M2 were similar. And, I love Meelec's cord too!
+1 voteThanks for correcting me. I confused and mistyped B2 as M2 previously.
Thus you can guess I am no audiophile.
I've not noticed your post when I edit mine so sincerely I have no bad intention. As I stated, I'm trying not to buy more earphone now. Your Brainwavz M4 and this deal is only make it harder for me. I should keep myself away from email and ozbargain now.
+2 votesNo worries. Once we get into this IEM/headphone business, there's no way out. But still, I try not to buy 'phones or audio stuff unless I absolutely have a need for them(or when great IEMs like M4 and SP51 are this cheap, LOL). Just going back many years ago, these quality IEMs would have cost well over $150 as ClieOS have said. I still remember buying my first IEM soundmagic PL-30 for $17 in 2009… Due to intense competition in the sub$200 and sub$100 catergories, we reap the benefits of super cheap audiophile-grade headphones/earphones.
ibbargainer on 03/06/2012 - 14:35 ¶I'm considering one or the other as well. I'm no audiophile and I would really appreciate some more opinions of the two. Which one is better if I like to listen to a wide range of music?
ibbargainer on 03/06/2012 - 15:17 ¶Thanks for helping out. Umm,a lot of pop rock, alt rock, r&b, soul. Also songs with strong vocals, but also appreciate strong bass. So all over the place? I pretty much listen to everything besides metal. So basically looking for one that is good for most things.
+1 voteI would get the SP51 for stronger bass and better vocals, as SP51 is more bass and mid-centric. But for genres such as pop and rock (and even R&B), I'd go with M4 for bass and treble. M4 would be better for most genres, in my humble opinion. There's usually a compromise if you need to choose between two products. It depends whether you want warmth in bass and mids and smoothness in treble more (SP51), or abundant bass, decent mids and sparkles in treble more (M4).
Note that, I own neither earphones. I based my "assertions" on other people's reviews.

+1 voteyou can get this one instead:
