NYC Circle Line Boat Cruise 65% offAffiliate

Not sure if I should have put this in the forums, but it's a great deal if you happen to be heading to NYC before Dec 31 this year. Circle Line run great boat tours from Manhattan, and this is a pretty big discount

They say it's easy to miss the forest for the trees — so to truly appreciate New York's stellar skyline, you have to pull away from the shoreline. With today's deal from Circle Line Downtown at the South Street Seaport, pay $14 (regularly $40) for one adult harbor pass or pay $7 (regularly $15) for one child harbor pass to your choice of one of five guided boat tours. Board the ZEPHYR, a luxury yacht, and enjoy breathtaking views as a guide elucidates the symbol of America and other legendary landmarks during the one-hour Statue of Liberty Express. For a seafaring soiree, soak up the sunset on the 90-minute Happy Hour Cruise, or admire the sparkling skyscrapers (and glittering frocks) at night during the two-hour Tropical Oasis Cruise. For thrills, take the 30-minute, heart-pounding SHARK Speedboat Thrill Ride to zoom around the harbor — or go back in time by sailing on a historic sloop on a Pioneer Tour. Passengers give these cruises 4.5 stars, and you'll agree after admiring the big apple as a whole — rather than in slices.

    Free Staten Island ferry FTW?

Yep, catch the 1 train down to South Ferry, hop on the Ferry (every 15-30 minutes), you get a good view of Statue of Liberty, Manhattan and surrounds, all for a nice $0.

This is hardly comparable. The Staten Island ferry travels in a straight line from Manhattan to Staten Island - at a distance of about 1km from the Statue of Liberty. $14 is nothing in the scheme of things when you've flown 24 hours to see NYC.

the normal price of $40 is also "nothing in the scheme of things when you've flown 24 hours to see NYC"

But you have to remember you are dealing with stingiest cheapskates here on Ozbargain, 14 bucks is still 14 bucks:)

Personally, I would never book sight seeing trips in advance. I would book flights, hotels etc in advance. But as to the day to day activities, research before hand, but decide on the day. You might be feeling sick and decides to stay around the hotel for the day, you might find something else more interesting while you are there, so its always good to be flexible. Besides, there are ALWAYS discounted tickets/packages for these tourist attraction.

The title of this post is very clear so why bother trolling it and leaving a stupid comment like that. Maybe you have comprehension problems in which case I apologise for the neg, but if not then really you ought to just bypass something that doesn't interest you and quit the silly whoop whooping!

It is a good bargain if you specifically want to take to Circle Line Cruise and see a lot more of NYC than you would on the ferry

And then you have to listen to the guide constantly hassle you for tips. Also, in the US, $1 is never $1 - you need to add taxes, tips…

enjoy yourself :) Best city in the world, and a great time to be there. Get some oysters from Chelsea Market and eat them in the Highline Park at sunset.

What's wrong with travel discounts posted for all over the world if they're good deals and benefit some members here?
