Never hang a latex pillow in the sun. Latex deterioration is accelerated by exposure to UV light. These are fantastic pillows and will last years, perhaps ten or more. They might seem expensive, but consider that you spend about a third of your life in bed. Personally I prefer the high profile pillow — it is a bit thicker than these, but they are $40 more expensive each, even on sale http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/en/myeronline/au-dunlopillo-hig.... The latex smell becomes unnoticeable after a short while. It is ideal for allergy suffers as it is hypo-allergenic. Some excellent information about latex and its manufacture here: http://www.sleepez.com/latex-mattress-buyers-guide.htm
+1 voteif they didn't last 10+ years, I would buy a few more.. the best pillow I have ever had the pleasure to sleep on. When you consider that you spend 25% of your life asleep, you shouldn't even think twice about a $59 pillow. I have had mine for about 2 years and it is still the same shape and condition as the day I bought it

Dont buy cheap pillows, they become jello and last a fraction of the time.
$60 is very good value. ++
