    it was cheap at their last BOGOF sale, 2 for $200

    I bought 2 and sold one for $150 so only paid $50 for mine

    great camera and can use CHDK on it!

      Cool. Hadn't heard of CHDK. I've been using Magic Latern for a while now but I can totally see how a P&S can be supercharged with CHDK!

    Absolutely fantastic camera. I received one for Christmas and love it to bits. Great in low light and the battery is amazing (only charged it once since January, and I use it every weekend). If anyone is looking for a good all-rounder point-and-shoot, that is simple to operate, get one of these.

    I bought this camera at Myer on Monday. Was planning to head to HN to buy it at $138. Myer had 15% off cameras and the listed price was $169. Sales assistant checked the price and it was registering as $113. A discount of over 30%!!! I obviously bought it (wife dropped our previous canon compact and lens won't retract). He wasn't fazed. He said it often happens when one sale discount ends and rolls over into another discount. He says that for a short period the system has yet to fully update and hence applies two discounts before the mistake is corrected usually around 11am. He said he's had times when one uber-discounted price shows on a scan but a few minutes later when the customer goes to buy the super deal the scan prices increases to the "correct" price.

    Anyone else heard of this?

    Seems like a great camera and a great price. Would be an upgrade from my Ixus 115 HS only in term of zoom range really. I just wish for two things: the video could be 30fps to make easier to mix it with video from my video camera and that the main control switches on the back weren't so deep in the body. They are quite hard to press with anything other than long fingernails.

    Picked up one of these from Myer today for $128. Good price for a quality compact.

    Now to throw the 115HS on eBay.

    Guys, How good is the camera & pic quality.
    I looked at the review and CNET says "shutter lag is a bit too long". Also I am not impressed with the quality of the picture shown on CNET.

    Just rang Myers (Carindale, Brissie) to check price. Was quoted $249-15%??? Quoted receipt - "Oh that is temporary price - probably until tomorrow" so $128.44, lots of stock, but only Black - at least until Sunday.

    Got one from DJs, Melbourne this afternoon, $138, price matched HN. Couldn't find a Myer store with stock to PM. But they uses this Ozbargain page as evidence of HN's price.

    Also bought a new model 11" Mac Air. $100 off.
