expired Verbatim 64GB USB Drive Black - AUD $36.99 Free Postage (OzGameShop)
This was posted 11 months 6 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
The last one a few weeks ago sold out, it can be seen here:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/71184
Old link states out of stock, new link is here:
http://www.ozgameshop.com/flash-memory/verbatim-49065-64gb-p...
I ordered one last time, there was lots of comments about the slow 4mbps write speed.
If you look at the Verbatim website it says minimum write speed is 4mbps and not maximum.
I use it to transfer a lot of videos and games and write speeds are on average 10mbps.
Read speeds are on average 25mbps.
Althoug max write has been 21mbps and max read has been 50mbps.
I have ordered another one as I am extremely happy with the performance, price and quality.
Edit
$5 off code expired on 15th of June, from $30.99 up to $35.99
Edit
Price changed, cost is $36.99 now

darthhasbro on 15/06/2012 - 08:21 ¶Thanks :) Haven't bought from these guys before, what's the chance of a Fishpond style back out?
Jusdrifn 86 on 15/06/2012 - 08:52 ¶I agree with Saaaaaad,
I have bought from them about 15 times in the last 2 years, very legit store, based in the UK so allow 2-3 weeks for delivery, but it always arrives :)
+2 votesThey trade under a few names http://www.365games.co.uk/ being one, ozgameshop is really just to cater/appeal to Australian customers, lots of UK store realizing we're a decent sized market for them.
+5 votesIn short, our postage costs (sending within/from Australia), subsidise these incoming deliveries. Most (not all) countries tend to deliver incoming mail and packages from overseas at no cost, in exchange they expect other contries to do the same etc. Of course, to get mail "out the door" of a country like China or Honk Kong etc, costs next to nothing (as does delivery within those countries). However within Australia it costs a lot, because of the large distances involved and the expensive labour, and generally high levels of service. These other countries are not paying Australia for this "last mile" of delivery, but of course Australia post need to recoup that from somewhere (ie. us, when we send local/OS letters/packages). Now, I know the UK is not China, but their "internal" postage costs are low (the UK is the size of a postage stamp!). There are many other factors, and i'm over simplifiying, but in short, when you send your 50gram package 10kms via AusPOst for $5, know that you are subsidising a Chinese seller posting to you, who paid about 10cents to send that same package from China to Australia.

+2 votes@alwayseric: Yes, Hong Kong is technically not a country (but it may as well be), and although I implied it, I didn't actually say it was (said a country like China or Hong Kong - not countries like…) Anyway.. more importantly….
As for 10 cents, that may be a slight exageration. However, here you can find the actual rates: http://www.hongkongpost.com/eng/postage/overseas/bulk/index....
At the time of writing 1 Hong Kong dollar = 0.128375336 Australian dollars
So, for example, a 20gram package to just about anywhere in the world: 29.5 cents (Aus)
up to a 50gram rackage= 45 cents (Aus)Conceptually what I said was true, maybe the details were not 100% correct. Not sure why you took offence to it, however I see you have a history of helpful advice.
astrotrain on 15/06/2012 - 09:23 ¶Awesome just ordered one. Have bought from Ozgames in the past one of my packages didnt show up so they resent out a replacement game almost immediately. Excellent service.
+1 voteexc3113nce on 15/06/2012 - 09:28 ¶EDIT: choose pay by paypal in checkout…
AWESOME. 64GB usb for $30! Always wanted a cheap USB stick alternative for taking movies to friends houses, instead of the bulky power driven ext TB hard drive
Red-dragon on 15/06/2012 - 10:14 ¶Agree with the reason for having one. And also agree that it's best to pay via Paypal. Piece of mind and all that…

easternculture on 15/06/2012 - 09:38 ¶use code FIVEOFFTHIRTY
$5 of purchaces over $30 , free shipping
digitalaxon on 15/06/2012 - 09:55 ¶Great price and quality brand (hopefully a decent stick) - however site is painfully slow…
Red-dragon on 15/06/2012 - 11:10 ¶Are you sure? I just did a phantom purchase (all the way to the end) and it listed the drive as available and ready to purchase…

price is good… but write speed is not fast…

Can I justify myself for buying this one? Think..think..
dlakers3peat on 15/06/2012 - 19:53 ¶just got one now as well. been waiting for ages for this deal to come back. well done OP

+2 votesozgameshop on 15/06/2012 - 23:07 ¶Hi everyone,
We've had a great response to this offer and have had to buy some more stock in - the stock is due to arrive at the back end of next week, so we'll despatch all of the orders as soon as we get them in! :)
Cheers,

justcallmeboss on 17/06/2012 - 12:01 ¶Hey everybody, I really want to buy this but my card has a surcharge on international transactions. Would buying from this site be considered an international transaction? (The comments way up top mentioned that this is a UK company?)
Regards
+1 votedarthhasbro on 17/06/2012 - 21:15 ¶As they charge you in AU$ you will have no international transaction fees
-1 voteWouldn't neg it but really after having used a USB3.0 drive I wouldn't touch a USB2 drive at this price, ie. would rather have a 4-5x faster 32GB Lexar Jumpdrive for that price. Depends whether you treat your thumb drive as storage or as a transfer medium I guess.
+1 voteWe have enjoyed some good memory prices this month;
10/06 $08(16gb) $0.52/gb
15/06 $30(64gb) $0.48/gb
And helping recently the $AU coming back to parity. Nice.
^^Dont suppose any local e-tailers at hand to save ob'ers a few shipping dollars, able to get a 32 gig in there at say 15 AUD, therefore $0.46/gb?
Recently noted some generic/ Class 4 stuff coming on ebay closing in on 15 AUD =32gb
Similarly, tracking @camelcamelcamel SanDisk 32GB MicroSDHC High Speed Class 4 has that card indicated for 15 dollars, sliding lower each month.
That said, for a true bargain I'd anticipate rated Class 6- 32gb would be my requirement, therefore I could be looking closer to July, for costing to be on schedule with depreciation.

Ugghhhh!!!
Let me re-evaluate my post.
My stick was DOA. It won't complete a format and it randomly disappears from the device manager.
As the stick was in its original packaging when it arrived the problem obviously lies with Verbatim rather than OzGameShop but OGS were nice about the situation and were happy to provide a refund. I did want a replacement but unfortunately they were out of stock.
Don't know how long refunds take to process but we'll see.

Mine turned up today, here's the Crystalmark info for any interested parties:
Sequential Read : 15.897 MB/s
Sequential Write : 9.058 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 15.298 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 4.141 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 1.574 MB/s [ 384.2 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.543 MB/s [ 132.5 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 1.830 MB/s [ 446.8 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.875 MB/s [ 213.5 IOPS]Many thanks OP, turned out to be a great deal! :)
