Good way to have a Green christmas party
[1st] alina.cheng on 20/10/2008 - 12:07 (www.ecoplates.com.au)

Recently we used these plates for our office party. This is a home based business.
The sellers were extremely friendly.
They even couriered the plates before we made the payment.

Ideal for any kind of parties, picnic..Stop using those nasty plates.
These plates looks good and will decompose after use. So there wont be any
guilty feeling about your party on the earth and climate change.

The same plates are sold for about $15 for pack of 25 on other expensive websites and this www.ecoplates.com.au sells them for 6.99/ 25 plates.

They looked keen for more business. our experience was a good one.

Look good, but $7.95 per pack delivery OUCH!! Wanted to order 4 different size packs but at nearly $32.00 delivery i think i will stick to paper plates.

Yeah I don’t understand why it costs $7.95 to delivery 25 plates. The postage is actually more than the actual product.

I recommend you to find a cheaper way to delivery your products. I understand being a home based business with a product that has a environmental focus mean that it will not be the most economical product out there. It is fine, given the product is superior and you do pay a little bit extra to support Aussie business and the environment. But if the cost, and by cost I mean the total cost that a customer has to pay, is too prohibitively expensive, most people will just say no.

Some feedback regarding the design of the website as well. It’s not very well designed, and you won’t know how much the postage is until you 1) filled out lots of info in order to create an account 2) activate the account. If I were to buy something, I would like to just be able to know how much it is and pay for it without creating and activating an account.

Moreover, it isn’t really a “deal”. It is more of a promo of your business. I would’ve voted -ve if it wasn’t a Aussie home business that just started.

Agreed. It does seem that postage is:
1) A way to make additional profits
2) An afterthought for most businesses
Hint: When the postage costs more than the product, it looks bad. When they are not significant postage discounts for big purchases, things also look bad.

Yeah, I would have bought some of these if it weren’t for the high post costs.

NOTE: Postage costs is actually detailed on the ‘Shipping and payment’ page (link on top menu)
