inrockweareone on 16/06/2012 - 03:40 ¶Was waiting for this. Using Optus atm so what do people think? Can I have luck unlocking it ?
+1 voteyes, no trouble at all. Try your luck on the Voda site to see if you can jag free unlocking (most don't but it's worth a try, as a few have managed to do so.) Otherwise do a search here for pocketwifi 2 - there's a link in a couple of those threads for someone who will do it for $15

This is one, and there are other sellers.

Is this wifi modem as same as (http://shop.vodafone.com.au/broadband-details/Pocket-WiFi-Pr... ) the second generation or the first generation? Any one knows?
inrockweareone on 16/06/2012 - 19:25 ¶Good question. Forget about this version thing and thought it's Pocket wifi 2. Anyone can confirm ?

+1 votematthewperk on 18/06/2012 - 21:58 ¶They were sold out at south yarra this morning when I went. Also called southland and they are out of stock.
saurav_mel on 20/06/2012 - 07:30 ¶Officeworks do not have the 3GB one .. also, to price match, the competitor has to have stock
saurav_mel on 20/06/2012 - 07:30 ¶Should work, as long as the sim is normal (not micro-sim) and its of Vodafone

I called up BigW Altona this morning, they said they have a few left. after that I called up 1555 and see if they can beat it. I was offered $39 for the first month with 4gb of data and $29 month per month. but I plan to cancel it after the first month because I don't use that much data. I have two post paid with Voda
Thanks saurav for confirmation.

Thanks, picked up the last one at Mildura. Unlocked via the Vodafone website without much grief. From the Whirlpool thread it was suggested going straight home and unlocking straight away before activating, which worked for me.
Vodafone website has it for $34 now, just noticed.
