Battlefield 3: Premium.. cheapest option
(mods, apologies if this post breaks any rules.. of course if it does I'd like it removed)
BF3 Premium cost $50.
I got it for $35.. saving of 30%
People were getting it for $22 via india but I'm pretty sure they've raised the price to stop this happening.
(yes, i feel sorry for those in india who now must pay more.. but in another year it will prob be free anyway)
You can still get it for 499 pesos($35) from mexico.. this is how:
(you can also open google translate to help you with these steps)
actually log out of origin and battlelog.. close all.
install free foxyproxy standard ed on firefox.
Use this: ip: 200.53.119.154 port 8080
(at your own risk, google for other mexican proxys)goto http://store.origin.com/ (surfing using the proxy)
it should come up in mexico.. click the bf3 premium link. choose 'inglis' from the language selection (english). add it to the cart.go to checkout.. you should now see a field where you sign in using your current origin email/username and password.. sign in.
Now enter your credit card details (it is https server).
Under 'country' australia wasn't shown.. i just entered mexico.submit the form.. agree to terms for completion (which I read, seemed ok and standard)
it will show a page saying something like 'please wait while we process order'.. but this page doesn't seem to do anything else.
you can now disable foxyproxy addon.
wait a while (15mins?) for an email from origin saying it's all good.
Once you have this, next time you log in to origin 2.8gb Close Quarters will instantly start installing.
That's pretty much it.
The game works for me and is in english (europe).
Better get in quick before they raise the price in mexico too.
(have a look around, maybe there's some even cheaper country??)
have fun.. let me know if you have qs
DrKazanovaKK on 22/06/2012 - 11:30 ¶I prefer to buy from OzGameShop at the moment!
http://www.ozgameshop.com/pc-games/battlefield-3-premium-gam...
I had 5000 player points and not long ago they gave everyone 5000 extra points, So I had 10000 and was able to redeem $10 off the order.
I know you could get it cheaper else where but this way is a bit more legit and cheaper than from EA direct.
+1 voteThanks for the feedback Danb,
Chillenau, perhaps try again, make sure your proxy is active.
When you surf to store.origin.com you should see up the top in the address bar, something to indicate it's accepted you as a mexican.. you should see mexicos country code, but certainly nothing australian like 'au'/
and on the page you are now at, somewhere there should be a BF3 Premium link.
Click this, and follow my steps. If this still doesn't work, maybe google for 'bf3 premium via indian proxy' + 'steps' or something.. and you'll get someone else's list.
if you discover an issue or haziness with any of my steps, please let me know.
evangelion on 26/06/2012 - 18:14 ¶thank you sir!
all the other options that I had checked inc ru, brazil, argentina, india, ukraine, thailand had been closed off.

Hey,
I just did this through the Mexican Origin Store, following Stitchy's instructions and I received the confirmation email. However, when I go to my Origin client to update, it says it's already up to date and also, Premium doesn't show on my Battlelog. Also, nothing shows in my Order History, either on the Mexican or Aus store. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think im a bit stupid but when i made a proxy with a mexican ip adres with foxyproxy and was making a pattern subscription for http://store.origin.com/ it wouldn't let me and told me JSON parse error and i dont know what that means, can someone please help?

jaysuhn.. dunno, try different webbrowser?
store.origin.com should have a mexican suffix when it detect you are from mehico.
anyway.. currently there is a better offer of $30 for original and premium together.. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85672

apparently mehico currently has it half price:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85766thanks for posting that

FYI: I don't think that switched the web site to english (if that's what you're trying to do).
I had to copy each page into a translator to read them (terms and conditions etc).By memory, that iglis step refers to the language for the game itself.. and it comes up half way through the steps. Are you sure it's no longer there?

hmm.. I guess the earlier you try the better.. before loopholes are closed etc.
If it works, perhaps start a new thread so people can find BF4 in a thread title search.
I'm waiting til after the launch to decide if I want it.
It must have decent in-game voip or I won't be buying it.

Shame we get screwed on PSN. US$50 = AUD$80. Sony must have a fixed exchange rate from release day of the PS3 ;)
