No, not yet. High fees with GST calculated on top make Paypal more attractive. Neither are available yet. Just based on fees alone however it's extremely high. I guess if you were in trades or markets, being mobile is of utmost importance and you usually have a high margin anyway.
brentsbits on 22/06/2012 - 12:51 ¶Nice one, I have been keeping an eye on the Paypal one but theirs remains strictly for iPhone 4 and 4S.

So not too bad, actually. If you did a lot of transactions, then something else would be better - but for small numbers, this is pretty reasonable.

Square looks great, but unfortunately not available outside the US:

+1 voteManaged to find it on their website - https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/credit-card-reader-faq...
Certainly not "much better" - 2.4% + 30c. Paypal cheaper for sales under $134, assuming no rounding….. :)
EDIT: Oh, but Paypal don't mention anything about GST…. So that part is unclear.
EDIT2: $#$()# … OK, so if the 10% GST is applied to the entire total from Paymate [(2.25% + 50c) + GST], then Paymate never ends up cheaper.

Their fee's are double compared to any other credit card facility.
They also hold up to $500 of your funds for up to 6months on new accounts.
Their customer service sucks, personal experience.
Trying to get these guys to reply to your email takes over 3 days.
For the $20 you save on a swipe card, you will pay your fair share in fee's down the track
Sneaky trying to charge double dip on merchant and consumers with their fees.

I'm pretty sure this is just a preregistration form as I haven't received form for address/postage details
