OCZ Octane 128GB SSD
Has anyone bought this SSD drive for a HDD replacement on a Desktop PC? Any good review on it? Tia.

Note this is not the BSOD problem most people mention, this is complete dead drive.
I did go down to Centrecom Sunshine, Victoria, and they gave me a choice of replacement or exchange, I walked out with a OCZ Vertex 3 for $119 (paid the difference).
Yes it's more than what I wanted initially, but the new SSD is faster so no biggie.
Ignoring everything though, because you're using it for a Desktop, the Octane will require you to buy a $10-20 adaptor caddy (if you don't want to be cheap), where as the Vertex, although more expensive, does include one. So the price is very fair.

I got one running in my desktop PC and I'm happy so far. Takes around 20secs from the time I hit the Power button to windows desktop.
