Just saw this at my local Kmart today, called a few friends and we bought a cartload full of these. Great value at more than half price of their current toy sale catalogue! Hope to see more of these sales continue with their competitors soon! UNLEASH HELL!!

EDIT: Apparently there is a version of Stampede that does not include the ECS kits but is still being sold at $19. So if your store runs out of this one with the ECS kit, ask them if they have the one without the ECS kit. My guess is it just doesn't come with the plastic protection cover.

    I just checked online, Kmart Burwood is 24hrs, never knew that.

      Have they finished the construction yet? When I was down in Melbourne in May Burwood Kmart didn't have the usual 24/7 opening hours because of construction.

    I bought two of these for the kids the other day at kmart for $38 each on special. The kids love them because they are a very cool nerf gun, but…they dont shoot as far as other nerf guns. The other smaller semi-automatic one they're selling for $10 shoots just as quick, probably 50% further before it starts to drop, and is much more accurate. Half the bullet capacity though. The other thing is that there is significant lag in between pulling the trigger and the first bullet leaving the barrel. These things might matter to some people.

    Still a good buy at that price…Toys r us wanted $99…

      All standard stock Nerf guns shoot similar range 25-35 feet. Only when you start getting into Nerf modding scene that's when the performance can increase significantly. My Stampede with voltage-mod hit 45-50 feet and has faster firing rate (5 darts per second vs stock 3 darts per second).

      i bought one of these last year for $80 but cbb buying new batteries after the first lot ran out. the clips and darts are really good for other nerf guns though

      You can get an ammo box and 100 darts (either whistler or normal ones) for $20 at Kmart too, when you get this Stampede :)

          The Stampede only comes with 60 bullets, not 100. But you do get 3 long clips (18 darts each) and 1 short clip (6 darts).

          There is a special pack in kmart that i brought, has 4 18 dart clips, 2 6 dart clips and 100 darts. visable on the packageing with bright green-ness. :)

    I bought two at altona with 100 darts, extra clips and belt. they were 19 as well. I don't mind having 40 extra darts and extra freebies. :)

      Same here, I purchased mine from Eastlands Ringwood, VIC. My bro got one at Bronia, Vic, and that was the 60 dart version…. I get to shoot at him more :)
      Also think that it comes with a bandoleer and two smaller 6 dart clips

    Got 1 at Vic Gardens Kmart (Richmond IKEA) Had 4 left.
    Also noteworthy is the Longshot at 28 instead of 45 RRP.
    DAMN YOU OP for making me spend more on Nerfs >_<

    Also, you might want to pick up 6 Performer D Batteries from Kmart for $5. Energizers were like $10 for 4 =S
    Wouldn't want to go home setting everything up only to realize that you don't have batteries to make it work.

    Sweet, just bought three - there were four on the shelves, lots of Vulcans though. Two of the packs had 40 additional darts in them, but they were all still priced the same.

    D-cells can get expensive. You can use AA rechargables instead.
    Either with AA-to-D adapters, or a 4 or 6-cell holder, wired in.
    A small NiMH cell can supply the same power as a much larger alkaline one.

    I picked 1 up just before. Sunnybank Kmart has them, but they're doing a dodgy. Every other nerf gun has a on special tag, but these are still listed as $49, however, when you scan it, it comes up with $19. Bloody big box and quite happy with it considering I paid $29 for a barricade a few months ago.

    Well spotted OP. Picked up a couple from Woy Woy for the boys. There were a few left - not at the main display at the front of the store but down the back nearer the camping stuff. Found some hiding behind the Vulcans.

    They hid it not in a small section where they usually display all the nerf stock as they had a larger section full of nerf stuff set up. Tricky people.

    Went to Parramatta today and picked up 2. There were still a few left.

    There are good deals on other Nerf guns as well. E.g.
    Pack of 2 Mavericks for $10
    Vulcan for $39
    Barricade, Magstrike and Recon for $20 each
    Longstrike for $28
    Swarmfire for $29

    The Stampede in the OP is still the best deal IMHO. But I thought I'd mention it in case you want add to/start your collection.

    Oh, and don't forget you can get a raincheck if your local store doesn't have stock.

      Unfortunately, because the Stampede has gone into clearance, we can no longer accept any rainchecks for it anymore. You're welcome to place it on layby but your best bet would be to find one in a store nearest to you.

    All SA stores completely sold out at 5pm, rainchecks weren't allowed as it was a clearance item - store couldn't locate it in their instore catalogue.

        When purchasing it through the online catalog it says unavailable online due to low stock levels, what would be my option to purchase/raincheck given it's sold out locally and unavailable online?

          Unfortunately we've run out of stock of this in most of our stores that specialises in serving our online customers. You are welcome to place this item on Layby, or call your nearest Kmart store to see if they still have any stock leftover.

          There is a version of this gun that does not come with the ECS kit, and that is also available at the same price. Perhaps they were confused and did not check the stock of this one too.

    Just bought the last three 100-bullet Stampede ECS guns from K-Mart Kurralta Park, but there were at least 3-4 of the standard Stampede ECS guns with 60 bullets left when I left.

    None left in Marion.

    sunnybank (qld) still has half a dozen left (the 60 dart version). they are down the back near the automotive/gardening section on one of the aisle ends. I would say at a guess that big w wouldn't price match because it's clearance and their price match policy excludes clearance pricing…
